Very nice
9.0 / 10.0
The lodge has an excellent location, within a short walking distance from a grocery store, bakery, and several restaurants. The kids loved the swimming pool and hot tub. The lodge is located just next to the creek and has a really nice atmosphere. The rooms are simple and clean, and overall provide a good value.
The rooms are a bit outdated, but still well kept and clean. Sound isolation in the rooms is not great, but that's common in places like that...

Only thing is thin walls can hear above rooms ..a lot of strong cleaning before entering room but at least was very clean

The room was pretty clean and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the proximity to the saloon and the Garden Cafe (walking distance). This was a cozy place in a cozy little town. The manager on duty was very friendly and helpful.
With the name and location of the place I was hoping for some authentic decor. The rooms were very plain.

The room was not very clean. You can tell someone had shaved and there was beard stubble around the sink and longer hairs on the floor. The tv screen was ridiculously small and the way things were laid out, such as facecloths, not in the bathroom, lamps that had not been plugged in.

Friendly staff, great location, large clean room. Close to wineries, Jack London state park & botanical garden.
Noise - from above, sounded like elephants moving around in room above, also being across from the office there was alot of traffic noise coming and going.
6.0 / 10.0
Great location close to Jack London State Park, wineries, and some local restaurants. Comfortable beds. Easy check in and check out. Room was also larger than I expected. Very quiet location. The food at the saloon restaurant was delicious, although a bit pricey (but that’s true everywhere in California it seems).
The shower didn’t work very well. It was just a trickle of water from the shower head while the bath is still running and filling with water. Future guests should know you’ll want to arrive before the front office closes as there is no staff there overnight. This was not a problem for us as we arrived early, but I can see it being frustrating for some people if you don’t know this in advance.

Friendly staff. Our Room (#1) was very clean and spacious. It provided us with everything we needed: comfortable beds (two queen-sized beds), refrigerator, coffee maker, a/c. The pool area incl. hot tub was great, too.
We have been accommodated in room #1, which is right across from the reception under the roofed driveway to the courtyard. When we were in our room we could hear every single word spoken in the office and witnesses every checkin or checkout first hand. Late arrivals (who did park right in front of our room with their motors running at 11pm) did keep us awake in the evening, deliveries (incl. those for bar across the parking lot) woke us up early in the morning. We had no chance to get the sleep we were looking for.

Location central. Swimming pool great. Good live music.
Felt a bit expensive but perhaps all of that location is expensive

Location was great. Beds were very comfortable and the pool was lovely.
The soundproofing was terrible… you could hear the people above us tramping around all evening. The rooms were clean and nice, but the bathroom area is in need of a facelift. And curtains in addition to the blinds would have helped for privacy and to keep the morning light out.

Nice location near a lovely pub for dinner. Comfy beds.
We stayed in two rooms. One had great water pressure in the shower and the other did not.

Our a/c unit was not working properly and did not blow cool air.

Relatively affordable for Sonoma County. That’s no small thing, so kuddos to them. Very nice landscaping on the property which is next to a creek. Great pool and hot tub. Restaurant/pub attached to property is lively and they have well attended live music on Thursday 6-8. Less than 5 minute walk to full grocery store, bakery and good quality restaurant options in town. Town is charming. Staff was pleasant. Everything felt super clean. Would definitely recommend.
The rooms would benefit from an update. They feel very utilitarian—like the interior decorator decided “Okay, we will give them the essentials like a door, a window, a bed, a tv, and even a coffee machine…but nothing more.” Did not feel warm or fun at all. Could use a pop of color, even muted color so it feels like you are on vacation. Maybe a simple rug or some updated lamps or at least one more painting on the white walls?

This beautiful lodge is steps from a great restaurant and bar, and the best deli market, complete with hot food and rows of good wines. A short drive up the hill is Jack London State Park with great hiking and a historical museum and farm. All around are great wineries and the Botanical Garden..great location at a great value.

Hotel was nice enough, it was clean. The pool and hot tub are great. No breakfast but there's a wonderful bakery across the street. Cleaning service every day was a plus!
Rooms are small, furniture is old and run down but adequate.

It's a lovely place, set back from the street and next to a creek. We had a nice picnic by the pool. We were very comfortable and felt taken care of by the friendly staf.

Nice & easy check in, comfortable beds, beautiful environment, the pool & jacuzzi. Great location in a peaceful small village.

The bar is friendly and lively - especially on an evening with live music. I didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel because I was there for work but would've liked to hang out longer.
The rooms are a bit dated. Not uncomfortable but in need of a refresh.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the pool and garden very well kept! Felt like a secret garden and enjoyed our morning swim and hot tub time there! Check in was super easy, and liked how intimate and safe the hotel felt. Great location in Glen Ellen to the bakery and Glen Ellen Star and our friends house.
Only issue was the TV in our room didnt work, so my son was bummed but because it was just one night it was fine.

Location and Glen Ellen are great.
Mold in the bathroom but the worst part was trying to sleep. Our first night we laid awake listening to someone walk around above us all night, and their alarm go off at 2am. We asked to be moved to a room upstairs for our second night, but were told there was no availability. What he didn’t mention was that it was because there was going to be a wedding and raging party all night, well past “quiet hours”. Even after the party moved to someone’s house ( we heard all of the details), there were still loud, drunk stragglers outside our door until after 3am. Then there wasn’t anyone onsite at check out- it felt like a lawless fraternity house!

The food at the bar. The setting and location... central to everything that we needed. Beds and sheets were pure luxury. There was no noise... peaceful and quiet.
Dinner one night was way too expensive. Not your place but a few doors down. Food was good but not excellent. At your bar, the food was great and very reasonable.

The location was ideal for us. It was less than ten minutes from the wedding venue. Glen Ellen is a truly quaint community. And although cars run a bit fast, walking is feasible for walking the main area of town.
Our room was also in an ideal location for my aging parents - just across from the main office and a short walking distance to the parking lot.
Open hours for the front office weren't ideal.

Cute town and close enough to Napa.
Bed a little soft, shower hard to turn on, noisy refrigerator, could not get AC mini split to turn on

I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and the location is excellent. We plan to come back sometime for a two night stay and enjoy Glen Ellen and Jack London State Park. We had a wonderful breakfast down the street at the Cafe.
That I only booked one night but it left me wanting more…. We will be back!

Comfortable and clean room, beautiful grounds and view of the creek, hot tub and pool area was well maintained, quaint shops and bakery within walking distance. We had a lovely stay!

The location is stunning. The grounds and nature surrounding the lodge are breathtaking. The little town of Glen Ellen is beautiful and charming. The rooms need a renovation, but the price is right the way that it is. Clean and simple. Across the way from the lodge there is a great grocery store and an authentic french patisserie.
The pool and hot tub were exceptional and the views around the grounds are just wow.

Location! Pool and grounds! Comfortable bed.
Noise from other rooms. Need grab bars in shower. Front window didn't lock. Need better desk/table and plug for laptop.
