Deerfield Inn

The hotel in general — and my room specifically — were not well maintained. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The towels had stains on them. The furniture was falling apart.

NO BREAKFAST

Outlet by sink area was non functional, no hangers for coats and sweaters, no laundry bag available. I had to call the office for the wi-fi password.

Location to event and food

Owner was difficult to deal with. Did not want to rent room after we had reserved the room weeks in advanced, charged us extra than reserved for price and refused to refund difference. Owner is not pet friendly, as it seems, and had issues with myself and other people for the event I attended and our dogs. The toilet had pee still in it, towels were dingy and probably dirty. Rooms were "non-smoking" but could smell the other rooms cigarette and marijuana smoke in the bathroom. The outside property is the opposite of what is pictured, and has cigarette buds all over the grounds. Oh, and dirty needles in the parking lot across the "road". Didn't even try to find the continental breakfast. Would highly recommend staying somewhere else. All this said, the night clerk was amazingly helpful trying to sort out all the issues with her boss, and helped move personal items from car to room. She needs a gold star and a raise.

TV remote wouldn't work,they had no kleenex out in the room all the outlets would not hold a plug in,and not enough towels were put out

That the TV didn't work and the employee completely forgot to come fix it till she was getting ready to leave. There was a used soap bar in the shower flat pillows and there was a chunk of metal sticking out of the outlet

Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone they took money from me even though they were paid two days before that basically they ripped me off I reported them to the attorney general trying to get the money that they refused to return they took payment twice under deceptive conditions

AC works pretty good

Stains on towels, dirty counter, walls and hair plastered to shower walls. Toilet seats was broken. Every time I tried to go into tv setting to turn on close caption it shuts tv off. Bed sheets were stained as well even have holes. Biggest thing is the tv thing, im hard of hearing and I couldn't watch tv since it kept shutting off every time I tried to get into menu setting to turn close caption on....

There was no breakfast

Perfectly fine. I was scared of past reviews, but the room smelled good, looked good and felt good, which was all I was asking for.

Broken toilet seat. Broken door secondary lock. Clear evidence door had been broken through. Light streaming in around the door. One bedside light wouldn’t stay on. Nonsmoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. Towels and washcloths were unraveling. I paid what the booking said but should have paid about 1/2 of what I did, but NEVER would have booked it knowing what I know now.

Wifi worked fine.

The towels were dirty. The bathroom wasn't cleaned.

This was a bad bad property. Booked it quickly without researching.

Paid for room with cash. People living at this property. Wife found a bedbug crawling up her are shortly after laying upon the bed. Owner had gone for the day and we could not get our money back. Fled to a different hotel to avoid the bed bug issue.

There is nothing redeeming about this hotel. Dark and dangerous location. The room was filthy and the sheets, blanket and towels were all stained. Crumbs and hair on sheets pillows. Don’t get me started on what the mattress pad looked like! Bathroom nasty and had to clean counter myself. The shower was stained beyond belief and the shower curtain was frightening. I told the office I wanted clean sheets and they said they did not have access to them. The next sleepless morning I told the office I would not stay another night bc of how bad it was. I asked them to refund the night I would not be staying. She tried to get ahold of the manager,Sonny, who she clearly dreaded talking to. He told her to refund my money but did not tell her how. I had to leave for a graduation and was told to contact him directly after the weekend. Which I did and he refused to refund it even though he told the employee to do it. I am amazed they are in business. The place should be condemned.
