Location, spacious room, lake view.
Extra resort fee charges per day - not sure what value I received for that extra charge.

The property was Nicely located
The property had mold in our rooms, finger nails, rusty staples and overall horrible smell

Location was relatively close to everything
Room was filthy, the thermostat didn’t work so our room was hot our entire stay, the hot tub didn’t work, there was no water available in any of the vending machines. Thankfully the Starbucks worker gave us some while they were closing

Very convenient next to events center. Parking covered with scanning barcode.
Wasn’t clean. There was hair in the shower drain, hadn’t been vacuumed. There was a stuffed animal thing between the bed and nightstand from who knows how long, when we picked it up to throw away it had dust bunnies hanging off. Candy wrappers under the edge of the bed, stains on the sheets. I was not impressed. Bed was also not comfortable, could tell the mattress was very old or cheap. Came with our young child and did not feel clean enough to let him off the bed.

The location
They’re sneaky about the cost of parking if you stay at the hotel. We were lured in w low prices for the room then hit w 50$ to park in the garage over night

Their bathroom was so old.
The staff were rude and not motivated.

Location was good, the bed was comfortable and the view was nice.
Staff was rude, the room wasn't very clean, the water pressure in the shower sucked.

Liked the location and pool size however The pool was good but not too clean, people should take shower prior entering pool, no one gives us any instruction prior entering pool, the shower room was in the corner which was not good.
- There was no room service or proper greetings upon arrival.
- When I called the front desk to request an additional bed for my child—a request I had already included in my reservation—the staff hung up the phone instead of assisting me.
- The hotel charged $50 for parking and an additional $30 in fees, despite the fact that we had already paid the full price through Booking.com. These extra charges increased our total cost unexpectedly.
- We were also charged approximately $70 for a “beach view” room, but the room only had a partial view, and the beach is not even close to the hotel, making the charge misleading and unjustified

Extremely Disappointing and Stressful Stay – Not What We Expected at All
I’m writing this review after an exhausting and honestly heartbreaking stay at Bally’s Lake Tahoe Casino Resort. What was supposed to be a relaxing trip turned into constant stress, discomfort, and frustration from start to finish.
First and most unacceptable: the room heater did not work on ANY night of our stay. This is Lake Tahoe—cold nights are expected, and working heat is not optional. Despite repeated complaints, this issue was never resolved.
To make matters worse, there were multiple water leaks across the property, including water leaking from the casino ceiling itself. Seeing water dripping indoors in a major resort is alarming and raises serious concerns about maintenance and safety.
Every time we complained or asked about the heating issue, the staff seemed to scramble without any real plan or ownership. We were moved to two different rooms on different floors, dragging our luggage multiple times, only to discover that none of the rooms had functioning heaters. This shows a shocking level of negligence and poor coordination—why move guests repeatedly if the core issue isn’t fixed anywhere?
Adding to the stress, our door was knocked on repeatedly by housekeeping, asking if we were checking out. This happened every single day, and on some days multiple times. It completely disrupted our rest and made us feel rushed and unwelcome, as if we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests.
Finally, the experience ended on yet another sour note during checkout, where we had to deal with unnecessary hassle and back-and-forth just to get our account properly tallied. After everything we went through, this was the last thing we needed.
Overall, this stay was mentally draining, physically uncomfortable, and deeply disappointing. A resort of this size and reputation should never operate with broken heating, visible leaks, chaotic service handling, and constant guest disturbances. We le

Location is pretty central
The staff messed up our booking, room and access. When management were informed they didn’t reach back out to us. Guess they don’t care. Everything is drenched in smoke (but I get it), went for a show, the function room had seats that faced away from the stage (left to right instead of front facing) very cheap considering the price of tickets and I had to deal with someone’s head partially blocking my view the entire show. The room was set to 84 degrees when we went in, it was unbearable and we had to leave immediately. The air vent in the bathroom had years of dirt and dust built up on whatever material was used at one point to repair it.

Very run down hotel. Stayed one night mid week and very quiet. Casino was quiet too

Right across from the hockey stadium. Quite and clean
A little expensive for the middle class folk that don’t gamble and want to enjoy the other aspects of Tahoe.

First time coming here. Super disappointed. AC doesn’t work, they shut down plumbing without notifying guests. Found a fake lash in pillow. When I complained about the AC, front desk called the engineer, and he said it will be 2-3 hours.
Security to property is suspicious. They had a sign that informed guests if you need security, dial this number.
Tiny arcade games were all broken. My kids were disappointed
Omg.

Location was great.
Older hotel. Needs renovation. My heater didn’t work in my room (room was 58 degrees). Took them two days to fix it. Still charged me for the room even though I could barely sleep in it that cold.

It’s location overlooking Lake Tahoe
The $20/day charge to park in their self-parking garage. Booking.com didn’t tell us about that (or at least I wasn’t aware of it until we arrived.
Dialing front desk and being put on hold 40 minutes. To talk to the front desk, I had to go there.
Going to the front desk & and/or calling to ask for a second chair in our room 5 times over 2 days before we got the second chair.
Also to reduce the price of parking & to get the deal on the prime rib dinner, I went through the process of waiting in line at the cashiers to get a Ballys reward card. It took 45 minutes. I got the prime rib dinner but not told how to get the voucher and waitress didn’t help me understand it, so I was charged $40 for it rather than $17.99.
When you pay the bill, you wait it a long line of people before you. So 30 minutes later when I paid the bill, I explained it to the person I paid the bill to and he graciously adjusted it for me. So I’d didn’t lose money staying there but the normal customer service sucked and staying there was a frustrating experience. We won’t stay there again.

Rooms were roomy and quiet
giant sliding doors to the bathroom. No separation between toilet area.
No water in the room. Tempeture was set to 68 degrees which was way too cold
Registration took almost 60 minutes.
Front deak ran out of water and directed us to complimentrary wat era tthe bar that was actually $2/ 6oz bottle
Level 4 had no ice machine. Levels 4,5,6,7 had no water in the vending machines. had to go to level 17 for water!
Almost $85 additional fees on our booking.
As soon as you enter you are overpowered by cigarette odor in the lobby.
1 of 4 elevators were broken leading to 15m waits for elevators
Our view was the top of the garage with HVAC. Not great.

The beds were nice, the shower and the view were great
AC fan was noisy and the cooler cabinet door would not stay closed. Maintenance eventually removed the door. There were only 2 sets of towels, hand towels, and washcloths for 2 people. Only 2 pillows and no extra blankets. We asked the front desk for more towels, pillows, and blankets. They brought the towels. We had to go back and ask for the pillows and blankets. They brought the pillows. We went back to the front desk and asked for blankets. We eventually got the blankets. The room key is suppose to open the parking garage gate, but it's hit and miss.

The room was spacious and the bed was pretty comfortable. We did bring our own pillows so I cannot comment on them. The smell of smoke wasn't as bad as other casinos. It didn't get into the room much but I could still smell it on busy nights.
The parking was inconvenient. The security gate took too long for us to come in and out. Often one was out of service. The room key used to get in and out did not work very well. It took a long time for it to process and actually open the gate. The front desk tried to charge me twice for the resort fee which I had already paid during booking on booking.com. I had to show proof of this. This should be something they have in their system. Had I not asked specifically about this, I am sure I was going to be charged again. The parking garage. The first 3 floors are reserved for staff or valet. I feel since valet are the ones parking cars they should be on the higher floors with the lower levels saved for those actually parking their vehicles and staying at the property since WE are paying more money.

Location and view were super.
Most of the staff there had no basic manners or friendly greetings. They were understaffed and sometimes language was an issue. Across the street at other casinos the young staff were friendly and talkative, we noticed the big difference. Our room in check-in actually had a bloody tissue in the toilet. Pretty gross. The elevators on Thursday morning 3 of the 4 were out! It's 16 floors!
5.0 / 10.0
Location, less crowded, lower price, pool.
The lake and golf course view from the room was beautiful and unexpected.
Air conditioning in the room didn’t work properly. Our room was super stuffy and humid.
The bed was uncomfortable; the mattress felt well broke in, springy, and dull. We also only got 3 pillows.
Late night food options would be great also.
1.0 / 10.0
Almost nothing, besides location, but there are many other options nearby, so definitely a waste of money.
For a hotel that charges nearly $1,000 for a 4-night stay, the level of service was shockingly poor. Housekeeping seems to operate without any management or schedule. I had to call the front desk three separate times in one day just to get my room cleaned and bed made—once in the morning, again at midday, and finally late at night when I returned exhausted, only to find the room untouched. For that price point, you’d expect at least the basics to be handled without chasing staff all day. Definitely not worth the money, and I won’t be returning.

I liked the location
Staff could’ve been more helpful with answering questions. I had to request new sheets in my room due to the sheets having a wet spot. Some of the “clean” towels had hair in them. The hotel is confusing trying to navigate and find the hotel elevators.

Did not like the property, only good thing is our room had a great view!
Out front dirty dry dirt in flower beds no landscaping at all, entrance covered with spills and looked horrible should be power washed off, carpet had duck tape where coming apart, no ventilation in room or casino, ice machine on our floor did not work, elevators kept getting stuck, bird poop on windows, felt like the place was ready to close down!

My family absolutely loved the pool there was also lifeguards. The arcade was perfect for our toddlers. The location was great and staff was very friendly and helpful.
The property seemed a little run down could use some good cleaning and the whole building even the room did not seem to get very cool we were all pretty hot
