Great place with good views and a hot breakfast

There was a lot of accumulation of dust in the bathroom fan and a little mold around the edges of the tub

The only suggestion I would have is another "Grab Bar" for getting out of the shower. Even saying that, I would still give it a 10 plus. The breakfast was wonderful.

Room was nicely updated, had a fridge, coffee maker and microwave and balcony! Loved the courtyard with fire pit and games. Pool, hot tub and sauna were excellent as well!

Only "gripe" would be there are no elevators

We loved the location! Right on the beach, and our balcony was lovely.

Booking.com did not communicate the pet policy. Surfland only allows dogs under 25lbs. Our dog is 35lbs. We crossed out the weight limit when we signed the pet policy contract and they didn't say anything, but we suspect that is because it is the off season. It could well have been an issue if it were the busy season. Although we really liked the hotel, I doubt we will stay again due to the stated (ridiculous) pet policy weight restriction.

The view was gorgeous, loved the big private balcony! Room was comfortable and clean. Great breakfast, everything from muffins, bagels, cereal to eggs, potatoes, sausage and biscuits and gravy!

When we first checked in we were told they didn't accept debit cards because of some issue with double charging. Since we didn't have a credit card with us, they went ahead and used our debit and told us to watch out for the issue. Also, not a big deal, but there was no regular coffee maker in the room, just a French press.

Perfect beach location for viewing the ocean. Room is nicely sized with places to put your bags and other items without feeling crowded. The bed was super comfortable with very nice linens. The front desk personnel were friendly and very accommodating. There is a nice deck located on the oceanside with lounges and a nice stairway down to the beach. Free breakfast that was very generous with eggs, sausage and waffles along with cereal and yogurt. Plenty of parking.

Great hotel, staff, and location! The ladies at the front desk are friendly and welcoming. They are there 24 hours a day. The hotel and rooms are clean, comfortable, and well kept. The ocean view is peefect!!!! Nice stairway down to the beach as well.

We were unexpectedly updated to a room with a private bedroom (nice plus!), the staff was over the top friendly and professional. This hotel provides the best breakfast we've ever had on the coast...hot & delicious with again, very cordial staff! The view was amazing and we enjoyed the outdoor communal deck as well as the covered courtyard with cozy fire pit and piped in music. Everything was absolutely spotless and inviting.

The only issue was the stairway to the beach which was a bit scary due to steepness and slippery. However, we managed and being up so high gave us better views.

Refrigerator had no freezer and was on the warm side.

The acceptance of our dogs was better than anywhere else we have stayed.

The room was not very clean when we arrived. Construction going on directly outside our door all day long, so it was quite loud when we stayed in for the day. Lots of noise from other rooms as well.

Surfland was a pleasant surprise in our travel of Oregon. The room was clean with a beautiful view of the Ocean. We were able to get to the beach and walk around. The morning breakfast was very good and comfortable environment. I highly recommend Surfland. The staff was very friendly. Brad J.

We were on the second floor with luggage and no elevator. Very minor deal.

Fabulous view from room. There was a bit of sea fog but it didn’t spoil it. Very nice room very comfortable beds. Small but functional bathroom. Nice shower. Breakfast was very good.

The View was incredible, the staff were exceptional, the continental breakfast was great with a decent variety, and the facilities overall could have been a little cleaner, but I would not describe anything as "dirty", there were just some things like behind the TV stands and beds and little tight corners where you could tell things have gathered over time as they don't quite get attention but this is also not a facility I would expect those things to be that clean at. Pool hot tub and sauna were all very nice and clean and the beach access was excellent but not accessible for any people with issues climbing lots of stairs (~70 iirc)

The room I received wasn't exactly what was advertised here in the app. I would be sure that when you're seeing pictures of rooms with bathtubs and views when you're booking and you're thinking that's the room you're going to get that you confirm with the hotel after you've booked.

The location was amazing you can walk right down to the beach (it is a steep walk for anyone needing to be prepared), the room had a great view of the ocean and it was so nice to see and hear the ocean right from our room. Being able to bring our dog and his cute doggie welcome bag was definitely a bonus! Nice selection on breakfast. Overall great stay and we will be back again!

Beverages up in the front lobby were a little overpriced. It would also be nice to have the option to leave our dog unattended in a kennel and only a charge a penalty fee for people who don’t follow that and have destructive dogs. The steps to the beach with the rocks steps near the stop are a little slippery.

The ladies in the front desk were both on the phone when we came into the lobby, so we waited for their attention. When one of them got off the phone (long dark haired girl) she said may I help you? She didn't say welcome to the surfland hotel, she didn't even greet us with a smile. Apparently the manager Kinley was sitting right next to her, she was the other lady that was on the phone but had hung up, by the time we were talking to the dark haired lady. We were a little early 2:30 and check in was at 4:00. We had two small children with us. The lady said that the room wasn't available until 4:00 and she was rude when she said that. She asked if my phone number was the right one and said that they will call us. It was just my daughter and I with her kids and we had already lugged our luggage into the lobby. My daughter had to ask if we could leave our luggage with them somewhere, because we didn't want to lug them back to the car because they were heavy. They were both very standoffish. When we came back to the hotel at around 3:00 we were just planning on staying in the lobby until the room was ready because the kids were getting fussy. But when we came into the hotel Darcy (another lady) greeted us with a smile and welcomed us. We told her that the manager and the other lady were very rude, and it was nice being greeted with a smile. Darcy was very nice and accommodating. I think when you spend so much money on a hotel room you would think that the staff would be nice and friendly, and polite. Darcy also called a bit later to ask if our room was clean and nice. And it was. Thank you Darcy you were the shining star at this hotel. And we both appreciated your hospitality. We had two rooms and my room, the pillows smelled musty, so I put a towel over them. Yuck! This hotel unfortunately doesn't have an air conditioner in the room and the windows open about three inches at the most (because they have locks on them).

Close to the beach, decent walk, great breakfast friendly staff was amazing the entire time We got married right before going there and the room was prepped beautifully with the romance package! My kids were in our second room and was do excited with the beach and smores package!!
