Beautiful facility that has aged very well. Room was much nicer than cookie-cutter hotels. A lot of charm. Food was good from the restaurant and the Alpine Tavern. The staff went above and beyond to provide breakfast before normal opening hours so that I could go to the summit of Mt. Washington early in the morning.

Lobby was dark and filthy with sand and dirt tracked in from outside and nobody cleaning while we were there. The room was OK but very plain and uninspired with not even clock or a singe USB outlet. There was a pantry down the hall
with drinks and a few bags of chips but no bottled water. I have honestly had a nicer room at a Motel 8.
The property is very dated … understandable for a historic property but this was dark, unwelcoming and the lobby was dirty. The lobby staff upon arrival were not welcoming in anyway … had to ask for directions to the room with the person I asked merely pointing down the hall to an elevator. The room was just sad … no character or style and no amenities beyond the basics.
