    We semi-enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but quality and cleanliness were mediocre at best. Location was decent. But once we were hit with the $25/night "amenity fee" the day we checked out (for really no amenities), we were feeling pretty sour about the already overpriced and low quality stay. Terrible communication and attitude from the staff overall. Such a disappointment!

    We’ve been coming to the area since 1963, when it was all boarded up…. I always wanted to stay and finally did so over Christmas… it… was … perfect!!! The staff was the best… the food was fabulous and great portions, and the rooms were so quaint and original… I’m hoping renovations don’t ever take the original charm out of this historic Inn… I will be back!!!!

    I only stayed for one night, as we were stopping here before heading to the White Mountains the next day. Among many hotel choices, I picked this one mainly because of the reasonable price — and it turned out to be an unexpectedly delightful stay. The room had a classic, elegant style, and the surroundings were beautiful with fresh, clean air. The staff were very friendly toward my child, which I truly appreciated. My child especially loved the hotel’s vintage elevator — the kind you see in old movies where you close the gate by hand! It added such a unique and memorable touch to our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

    Eagle mountain house was a pleasant surprise and exceeded our expectations. The front office manager was very friendly and gave me a nice roundup on the property’s history. Front desk staff are extremely friendly. Special callout for Adrienne. The property location is lovely and has good eateries nearby. Tip - we found Tuesday and Wednesday these eateries are closed. So plan to eat in the lovely restaurant in the property if you’re staying mid week. Will return for sure.
