Of many local options booked Country Inn because previous Country Inn stays elsewhere involved cozy lobby with attractive comfy furniture and fireplace, freshly baked cookies and coffee on hand. Thus property is being renovated, so really NO lobby, breakfast space right by doors, building materials stacked around , very generic decor, didn’t really feel like a Country Inn, but I’m sure this is temporary and my stay was certainly comfortable, staff helpful friendly and professional, facility clean

This stay was disappointing and I didnt even get to sleep.

Absolutely nothing.

The pool and hot tub were down for "updates", they gave me the wrong room, so I had to pay extra for the room I booked. They drained my bank account for the deposits, taking nearly 400 dollars i got most of it back. The lobby was torn apart. The wall paper was peeling off the walls. Panels were crooked in the bathrooms, making accessing the pipes easy. The cereal was stale, the biscuits were hard as rocks. There was white powder all over my room. And I could hear children fighting all night, and parents screaming at them. And lets not forget, the shower sprayed more water back to the wall than on me. But the jacuzzi worked, after you forced the plug in and tightened it. I tried calling the front desk, their phones are shut off or something. I rang the bell and waited for nearly 5 minutes at the desk. No one came so I left, but there was people doing the floors.

A very affordable stay and close enough to Notre Dame to take in a game.

The breakfast had a wide variety of food and was for the most part hot. We got down there a little late so the food was a little cold when we started, but the staff did make some more food so we could refresh our meal.

The cookie smell was driving me nuts because we missed when they were going to be sat out.

Good value for an older hotel

This is a not a bad choice for the price. It looks decent after a previous paint refresh to the interior. No worn out carpeting or doors. The king bed had good support and the pillows were good, not the thin and cheap pillows that are found in some discount hotels. The entire facility was clean. Cracker Barrel is within walking distance one block away. Good parking area but not if you have a trailer. Continental breakfast is basic but it was fresh and quick.

Tub faucet had a constant trickle. The room fan had an odd whirring noise. The room had a noticeable smoke smell from what might have been a previous smoking room.

No one at the front desk. I had to go behind the desk to the office and knock on the door to be able to check in. The first room they gave us had a broken toilet sest and no AC, it was 77 degrees. The second room was better other than the broken ironing board in the middle of the room. Not really worth.$300 a night

Some walls were painted sloppy. Some things looked “thrown together”. Our room had broken trim around the mirror. Why was it left like that? Facets needed replaced. Very thin cheap towels.

Dirty, a lot of hair on the shower wall, dirty stained towels and bedding. Dirty floors, broken lamps and mirror frame. Breakfast was stale and unpleasant. The iron board was left standing out by the entry to the room and the cover had yellow stains on it.

Maintenance repairs were hap hazard. Breakfast was pathetic. Biscuit was very hard, probably left over for days. The gravey was like soup and cold. All food was probably not up to health department standards. Could not understand most of what the check in person was saying.

The pool area was dirty, the pool was dirty and the pool was so cold you couldn't even swim. The biggest reason for our stay was for the pool and was very disappointed

The empty hot tub, no plug for my son to bathe, toilet got clogged was handed a dirty plunger for my husband to fix situation, would have stayed with a working and usable hot tub, pool, & toilet .

Beds are good. The staff very friendly. Staff tried very hard to please our concerns. Breakfast was good as expected. We were there for one night so I didn’t get to see the exercise area or pool. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Our first room there was no shower curtain Second room had a broken electrical cover/ outlet Coffee maker in room leaked out the water. The window shear curtain was ripped. a black mark on the wall by door. There was hair conditioner in bathroom no hair shampoo Outside in the seating area the light fixture was hanging out of it’s socket.

The hotel should remove the pool as a feature. We were refused access to the pool. We were told it was “under maintenance” & that it was “too cold”. This was an indoor pool, so it was B.S. There was minimal staff. Hotel was overbooked & I was forced take a different room than the type I booked or go elsewhere. Even that room was not ready & had no towels. The “complimentary” breakfast was not available during the time advertised, since the front desk clerk was spending time between the dining / kitchen & the laundry & the desk. Charge more & hire a team.
