Executive Inn

I booked my room a week in advance for so we would have a room when we came to attend a wedding. We had specifically set up with the facility that we would be checking in at 7:00pm which they approved. When we showed up at 6:55pm, we were told that our reservation had been cancelled due to them "needing the room". We were offered the only room they had left, a smoking room with one double bed. We had reserved a Non-Smoking room with 2 queens. We declined, and had to go to another hotel, hoping they would have a room. Wound up using 2 double beds in another hotel. I would not ever book a room here again. My credit card was used to hold the room, and the facility did not honor it. This caused us a lot of stress!

It was easy to find and in a great area of town.

Initially, the price per night. The bed was comfortable. That's all.

When we arrived, the room was hot and smelled like boiling PineSol. Unknown to us at arrival (because we had shoes on) the carpet was soaking wet. We didn't realize this until after returning to the room later in the evening. There were lots of utility trucks in the parking lot, and the utility employees (who were apparently staying at the facility long term) were playing loud music from their vehicles, hanging outside of the rooms, drinking and talking loudly until very late at night. They even kept their room doors open and left their food/beverage containers out on the walkway. We reported these issues multiple times to the staff. After repeat behavior, we reported this to the staff. We were told that the workers were guaranteed business, so there wasn't much they could/would do. We didn't feel valued nor safe, so we asked for a refund for the remaining reserved nights and went to a different, much more accommodating facility. Oh, and the room was not very clean ie the walls had lots of scuff marks and furniture/curtains were very outdated. The bathroom had exposed plumbing pipes in the ceiling.

I had requested a smoking room, when we checked in, they gave us the option of the smoking or non-smoking room. They allowed us to go and see if we would like to stay in that room or the non-smoking room they had reserved for us. We did go down and check out the smoking room and decided to stay in the non-smoking room. The smoking room was just a little less clean (not due to the owner's but the smokers who left burn marks on the bathtub and that burn the bedding...it's really not the Staff's problem, more so it falls on the shoulders of the people that had previously stayed in the room previously. The non-smoking room was very clean, very comfortable and would recommend to any one traveling to Mountain Home.

Maybe more of a breakfast selection? No complaints, actually.

I loved that the woman at the front desk called the morning of arrival to check on us before our trip.

I didn't like that there were a bunch of men working on their vehicle in front of our room til the wee hours of the morning. Not to mention they were leaned up against our window and were talking LOUD!!!!
