The Lodges at Gettysburg

Peaceful simple cabins. Nice place to escape.

There’s nothing within a few miles, so plan ahead. Not a knock. Wish they allowed dogs. Could use a toaster or hot plate.

Beautiful location and cabins were well maintained and clean.

The parking is far from desirable. Limit spaces by your cabin, first come first serve. You could be 3 cabins back, but there is only space for 2 cars. If you get there last, you have to park somewhere else and hike it.

Everything was beautiful! We appreciated the water and coffee provided in our unit. Beds were comfy, air con in good order, shower pressure strong. Our only regret was that we only stayed 1 night.

We would have liked the tavern open during Independence Day week.

Tavern and outside pond, firepit area and such were all pretty nice. Location was a bit out but nice. I liked the area.

I thought all cabins were individual, I thought some had adjoining cabin rooms for people traveling with you, not for people you didn't know. I was expecting a cabin to ourselves with a couple chairs out front like in the pics online. We had to go in the side door and no chairs, no real view while other people stayed in the adjoining room. The bed was not comfortable, the mattress should be replaced. No wake up alarm/phone. Room was a bit old looking, scuffed up bed frame, bathroom looked repainted but found at least 5 spots of paint on the floor and also on molding, not very nice. Some other stuff not the best either. Not horrible, but a bit disappointed.
