The Cushing Cottage is on a 17-acre private property three miles from the Battlefield and four miles from downtown Gettysburg, providing a beautiful, peaceful setting for your relaxing get-away. Cottage has screened porch to enjoy solitude for everything from your morning coffee to your evening recollections of time spent on the battlefield, downtown stroll, or at the many special events in Gettysburg, such as the Reenactment, Remembrance Day, and the Bluegrass Festival.

A cozy cottage we didn't want to leave!This was one of the most comfortable places we've stayed in. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable—honestly, even more comfortable than my bed at home! The pillows were perfect, and we both slept so well.The cottage was thoughtfully stocked with a full-size refrigerator, a spacious kitchenette, and plenty of complimentary snacks and drinks, including chips, cheese and crackers, soda, and juice. The air conditioning worked beautifully, which was especially appreciated during the summer heat.It may sound funny to mention, but I also appreciated that they provided quality 2-ply toilet paper instead of the cheap one-ply you often find in rentals. It's those little details that show they genuinely care about their guests' comfort.The property is located on a peaceful farm with the owners' home nearby and two adorable mirror-image cottages. We loved seeing the huge turkeys, chickens, roosters, and so many bunnies! One of the highlights of our stay was feeding the rabbits—it was such a fun and unexpected experience.Todd was wonderful to meet in person, and Chris was very responsive and helpful through the messaging app. Both were excellent hosts.We were genuinely sad to leave. In fact, a friend who lives nearby has already offered to let us stay at his house the next time we visit Gettysburg to save money, but we'd honestly choose this cottage again instead. It was absolutely worth it.

We loved our cottage and all the wonderful animals, they were so friendly!! There was so many little things they included like fresh flowers, food for the animals- so we could feed them, drinks and snacks. The owners are very friendly and polite.The cottage was spotless. Highly recommend-10

Absolutely beautiful property and spotless cabin!! This was by far the best place I’ve stayed for a number of reasons! The property itself is stunning with great views, but secluded enough. The animals on site were very cool to interact with, especially Izzy the dog, the bunnies you could feed as well as the turkeys who loved to follow you and gobble! The cabin was immaculately clean. I’d definitely stay here again!
