The Cushing Cottage is on a 17-acre private property three miles from the Battlefield and four miles from downtown Gettysburg, providing a beautiful, peaceful setting for your relaxing get-away. Cottage has screened porch to enjoy solitude for everything from your morning coffee to your evening recollections of time spent on the battlefield, downtown stroll, or at the many special events in Gettysburg, such as the Reenactment, Remembrance Day, and the Bluegrass Festival.

Chris & Todd were fabulous hosts! Upon arriving we were greeted by all of their turkeys, chickens, ducks and bunnies which love to eat corn flakes from your hand!!! They left snacks, bottle of wine and chilled glasses (we don't drink but it was beyond thoughtful) in addition to coffee, tea, juice and creamers. The cottage was very clean and tastefully decorated--the vintage furniture was to die for! I absolutely loved this stay and on the rare occasion we get to getaway, we would definitely return to Cushing Cottage! Thank you for your hospitality!

The property itself is as beautiful as it is peaceful. Inside the cabin, every single thoughtful, tiny thing you could need is provided. The room temp and the furniture is very cozy. Outside, we were greeted and kept company by the most friendly animals! Turkeys, chickens, rabbits, and even the family’s dog made an appearance! Overall, the atmosphere was super cozy and calm and the entire property was spotless & cared for. We will absolutely be going back!

This was our second time staying at the Cushing Cabin and we plan to stay again. The beds are very comfortable and the hosts make you feel right at home! Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your critters for extra entertainment! We appreciate you and your lovely cabin!
