The hotel is beautiful and perfect for a Seattle stay. We loved the breakfast and the simple yet beautiful Seattle style.
My kids react to mold and reacted mildly to this hotel. It was very clean and didn’t smell but I saw what looked like painted mold peaking out on the brick in the bathroom.

The first thing was the front desk staff . Doug was immediately warm and welcoming. My son and I felt at ease and right at home in our short conversation with him during check-in. Further, upon entering our room, we giggled like schoolgirls; the room was perfectly set up. We knew our stay would be great. The location is perfect. Walking distance, any direction, to what most visitors would want to experience in Seattle. STEPS from food/libations, entertainment. Impeccably clean restroom, mirrors, windows, shower tile, door knobs, surrounding surfaces and carpet. Cold AC window unit. Beds were comfy; linens, towels and bathrobes smelled fresh and like new. Continental breakfast consisted of just the right variety of goods to start your day. Snacks replenished thoughtfully, kitchen always clean, and we were in that kitchen several times during our stay. What set this place apart was the way this old building was lovingly restored and is maintained. It is clear there is pride in the details because a building like this could easily look dated if not properly cared for. Loved all the plants, the vintage vibes and the simple decor. (Can I have the Boy George book!?) Something to note, the building does not have lifts/elevators and that is clearly listed on the hotel's website/description. Not an issue for us, but do keep in mind. Also note, expect city noise if room faces street, it's a fun neighborhood, lively!
Staff was A+! Kristine, we took your recommendation and visited SubPop at the airport on the way out, thanks! Doug, thank you for the extra space (room) , being kind and for making us feel so welcomed! Additionally, having an actual key on a key ring for our room was another quirky detail we enjoyed. This place felt like we were staying with family. Staff would ask if we remembered our key on the way out, told us to have a good time and to be safe when we would leave.
That we had to leave.

Location, the hotel’s aesthetics and style, the large bathroom and very comfortable beds
The steps up and down the hotel were more difficult for my 84-year mom, but were manageable. The large bathroom could benefit from a window shade to reduce the overall amount of light coming into the room

We really liked the Ace and will definitely stay here again when we visit Seattle. It is close to the Waterfront. The staff is wonderful. The bed comfortable and the shower was like a tsunami! Excellent! The downstairs breakfast area and the offerings were great!
There is nothing the Ace can do. The city is simply full of homeless individuals.

The Ace is a warm and welcoming place full of charming, thoughtful details. It’s the best blend of a boutique hotel and a quirky bed and breakfast.
The up and down stairs were a bit of a challenge, but the staff quickly volunteered to help us with our bags.

Very helpful and friendly staff. We had an early start in the morning. Staff ensured that breakfast things were set out early for us.
Rooms were unique. Not fancy but very comfortable and functional. We often stay in 5 star hotels. When in Seattle again we will stay here.

Wonderful location, sufficient continental breakfast, absolutely fantastic lady at the reception desk. Nice touches in the room like boxed water or a postcard. Very comfy bed, nice crispy linens and towels, and clean bathrooms. Highly recommend!
It can be a little bit noisy in the evening, if your room faces 1st Ave, but it quickly becomes a background noise and curtains definitely help with reducing it.

I like so many things of this place. The location is in the center and closed to everything. Parking is not bad in the evening and free on Sunday and holidays. The room has ocean view. So beautiful in the day time and in the evening. I even do not want to leave the room until we have to check out. The design of the hotel is very special (in a good way!) I heard this place used to be for sailors. Our room has a Music Hall radio. It feels nice to listen music and watch the view through the window. The breakfast is good too! The dining area is comfortable and the teas are soooooo tasty! We would love to stay here again if we come back to Seattle. Also, I booked the wrong date at first and the host kindly helped me update the dates without extra charges. I really appreciate!
The light from hallway comes into the room during the bedtime. However, it didn’t bother us after we fell asleep.

Clean and cozy, budget friendly. I was surprised by the small rooms and the shared bathrooms at first but the rooms were adorable and clean and the bathrooms maintained very well. We had no issues for our one night stay. Could get a little cramped for a longer stay. You can upgrade to a deluxe room for a charge.
No elevator which was fine for us but I could see it being an issue for some for sure. Desk was very helpful and offered to carry our bags up but for anyone using a walker or wheelchair or who had problems with stairs this is not going to be your place. It is very loud at night. We were across from the comedy club and it was very loud until at least 3 or 4 am. I suggest leaving the tv on for background noise or using the complementary earplugs. They also have fans which was a nice touch for us fan sleepers.

The staff were very nice and accommodating. The rooms were really clean and nice too. Complementary breakfast was really great too with lots of quality products.
No complaints honestly. Would definitely stay here next time I’m in Seattle.

It was great! I loved it. Tho, there’s stairs so beware if you have mobility difficulties
It’s close by to a club so you might listen to the outside music

The bed was very comfortable.
There is no elevator and check in is upstairs. No close parking provided. You have to find your own and hope you get lucky to find something within a block or two. Was also a lot of loud noise as it is in downturn Seattle.

Overall had a great stay here. I was a bit apprehensive about not having a bathroom in my room, but the bathrooms were aplenty, close to my room and were very clean and comfortable. There was a bit of noise outside, but they provided earplugs which was great. The room had a desk which was awesome, a sink which came in handy for teeth brushing and washing hands, a queen bed and a view of the street below. Staff were very friendly and continental breakfast/coffee/tea was included which is always nice. Being a Canadian, it was a little expensive because our dollar sucks, but it was right next to the concert venue I was going to which was super handy. Would def. stay here again.

The evening staff was very kind and made sure I was happy.
The room was immaculate and comfortable. The continental breakfast was more than I expected. I think this place is awesome!
The neighborhood was a little noisy, but it was not horrible.

The location was perfect, and the hotel was quiet. We booked a room with its own bathroom, but passed the shared bathrooms and they were nice. I wouldn't of been upset with having to use them.
The only that was tricky, was navigating property, but it worked out and I don't think that can be helped.

The location of this place is amazing in the sense of everything great is within walking distance. the actual LOOK of it is offsetting for sure but it’s such a hidden place.
the whole place is pretty warm, but there’s AC in the rooms. I will say it does look a little sketch outside and in the hallways, but the rooms are great!

The staff were great and super helpful! The facilities were clean and well supplied. Good location for exploring Seattle.
The bed was terrible, one of the worst I have slept in. We could feel all the mattress springs digging into our backs. You cannot close the shade and also use the AC, so the street lights cannot be blocked out for sleep.

The hotel is close to the water and all of the main sites and situated downtown in a vibrant neighborhood with great bars, restaurant and cafes. It's such a great hotel, the room and the hotel were very cool and the beds were super comfy. The staff at front desk were amazing. Definitely recommend staying here.
