Hilton Garden Inn Palm Springs/Rancho Mirage

The staff were phenomenal. Everybody greeted me when I came in and out the door, and tried to go out of their way to help when a couple snags came up. Extra kudos to the young woman who checked me in, and the two overnight clerks I interacted with.

The room was not what I had thought it would be. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub as I needed to soak for medical reasons. The tub did not hold water for longer than 5 minutes. At that point there was not another room available with a bathtub so it didn't seem to make any sense to change rooms. Also, The privacy please door tag would not stay on the handle of my door. No matter how gently or carefully I closed it, both when I was entering and exiting the room it fell off every single time. Every. Single.time. luckily I am healthy enough to bend over and put it back, but especially since this was on the handicapped room that is unacceptable and inaccessible for someone with mobility issues . Also, there were a number of times that my key did not open external doors. The light would go green and I could hear the latch open, but the door would stick. This happened both on the back door coming in from the pool area, as well as the side door to the smoking patio. This occurred during regular business hours.
