A Clean, Inexpensive Place To Stay.

Price is VERY reasonable. Lady that runs the place is very welcoming and friendly. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable, pillows ok. A/c heater unit worked well and was not obtrusive. Plenty of hot water and towels were good size and soft. Like the new lights on the walls. Keep in mind what you’re paying for a room here and that it’s quiet and clean.

Shower/commode room needed a much brighter light. Ancient bedspreads should be replaced. Windows need screens.

massive dust balls at the head of the bed--had to wipe them off to plug in my stuff. broken screen on back window. need better placed lighting in the rooms. NO vacuuming was done under the beds or tables--very obvious if you reached down to put your shoes on.

This was a very good value in Placerville. I enjoyed the quiet location and friendly staff.

The check in staff member was very kind. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. The parking was plentiful.

The heater fan was very loud. I had to get out of bed to turn lights off and on.

Good value stay

We enjoyed the spacious room and friendly welcome from reception. We had all we needed for a short stay. We appreciated the nightly rate.

Although clean, the room showed lots of wear. The location was walking distance to old town, and though we had no issues , the surrounding area was slightly sketchy.

I couldn't park on property all 4 days. Every room should have a parking space assigned to it. I had many valuable things in my car to have to park next door with a fence in between. Also the shower head was clogged to where the water barely came out. The bed was lumpy too.

The quietness and location

Everything was great except the A/C unit upstairs drips onto the one below. Room #102. Pretty much like a Chinese water Torture. Kept us awake, or woke us up.Outside of that, no complaints.

The place was outdated. Walls were dirty. Spider webs in the room near plugs. Loud noise from people talking and walking upstairs and cars and driving by.

From 1am in the morning till almost 5am there were people jumping and running around and screaming off and on keeping our whole room awake. There is no sound barrier what so ever. The doors don't have great locks. The doors were very dirty. The blinds and curtains were also gross and disgusting. Hardly any outlets in the room except over the sink by water which Isn't very safe. Mostly just a horrible night of sleep due to the obnoxious amount of screaming, yelling and running and jumping or whatever was going on in the above rooms.

Ok for 1 Night for Early Birds

The front desk gal was friendly upon check in. I got a ground floor room as requested. Location is right up the street from Placerville dining and shopping. Bed was firm and comfortable. Small room. TV had some good channels to watch.

After 5pm, the small parking lot fills up so you must park in the overflow lot which has no lights in the lot. Their lot needs one more disabled spot! The place awakens at 6am with many people leaving weekly for work from here. A gardener started blowing with his machine at 7am right outside my front door! You must be an early riser to stay here during the week.

The bed was very high that my husband had to help me get on. The bed was very hard. The bed had a slight tilt and it felt as if I could fall off. Very loud air conditioner. No relaxing chair to sit in. The room attached to our room was occupied and you could see the light around the frame of the door. The ceiling in the bathroom room had been repaired and it was unpainted. The bathroom room mirror was at a height of a six foot man, I am 5’3. The bathroom sink had several large cracks. It is uncertain as to when the carpets were cleaned last. Drapery on lone window did not match.

A bit rundown, but clean, and with pleasant people

The people at the hotel were great. My interactions were always positive and helpful. The room had working amenities such as an a/c, fridge, table and chairs, tv, etc. And the room itself seemed clean.

The bed was a bit firm for my taste. There was little counter space for the bathroom. The air conditioner took quite a while (until sundown) to cool the room off. The furniture was a bit dinged up, but serviceable. The bedspread had a rip in it. But the biggest problem was that there was no breakfast.

Only as a LAST resort

Parking was convenient

Extremely OLD room. Dirty carpet, ancient a/c unit being held together with tape, holes in bathroom walls, fridge was unplugged for no reason, so no chance to keep our drinks cold, mattress was lumpy and blankets were extremely old an d thin. Upon leaving we noticed another room below us Being cleaned that seemed to have upgrades in it and look to be in much better condition than the room we were given. Perhaps we were given the worst room because we booked through booking.com. Quite honestly, this was the worst room I've ever stayed in.

Unfortunately, my stay was uncomfortable. The bed was extremely firm—more like sleeping on a board than a mattress. The pillow was equally disappointing, completely flat and offered no support. Additionally, the wall lamp next to the bed couldn’t be used because there was no plug at the end of the cord. Overall, the room lacked basic comfort and functionality.

Disappointed.

I thought the location was okay. A little sketchy after dark. The staff were very friendly.

The property has has problems that need to be repaired and maintenance seem to be lacking. The bed spreads and furnishings were very dated. I was surprised to see it had carpet in the room and wasn't sure how clean it was so, no bare feet. The drapes were literally falling apart. The light above the shower is something they just rigged together and doesn't look safe. The walls had some unpainted drywall mud and could use some repair and painting touch up, or at least it could use a good cleaning especially around the doors and trim. The air conditioner grill was taped to keep it on. The carpet on the walkways was loose and also taped together. Also the location was fairly noisy due to traffic. We dicided to stay in Placerville as a last minute decision and while I know it was only $75 for the night, and probably shouldn't expect too much, still, I just feel it could have been a lot better than it was.

The gal working the front desk was wonderful! So, so kind and so helpful. She was the happiest person I’ve ever met. An absolute gem.

Upon arrival, our room was so hot and humid. We opened all of the windows and turned the AC on but the bathtub was leaking (not just dripping, like a good amount of water flow) scalding hot water. There was mold all over the walls in the bathroom. Bathroom walls were damp and slimy & the main rooms were pretty dirty and covered in fingerprints, like they just needed a wipe down with a magic eraser. It was a little uncomfortable. Water pressure in the shower will rip your skin off, but that’s not always a bad thing. Overall, it was pretty decent for just a place to sleep and shower. Good location.
