The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach

Friendly staff well attention to details! Shout out to Becca at the Beach Bar !!! She was very attentive and always service with a smile even remembering your name and what you drank without asking! Vivian at the Sea Oats bar was also amazing!!! She even lent my wife her “treasured Eagles concert sweatshirt” because she was cold. What a sweetheart!! I also want to send recognition to Gordon at La Dolce Vita beach chair setup. He treated us like Gold! Very attentive and accommodating!!! Even taking the time to walk over and say goodbye and safe travels on our last day there!!

The View!!!! We had Gulf view with a balcony!!Grotto bar was cool as well! Excellent meals at the Sea Oats restaurant!!! The Red Snapper was amazing!! 5 star quality!!!

The food at Sea Oats, and thier food truck was amazing. Thier specialty drinks at bar outside were great. Thier pools were clean plus and was surprisingly shocked that some areas of the pools they had were deep. Groto pool in one area was 10 ft deep.

The room was bit outdated. Bathroom had caulk cracks or peeling Showerhead was a bit rusted. I had to tighten up the toilet seat. Was almost out of toilet paper on day 3 of our 4 day trip luckily that last morning i had my own roll had to use a bit. They should make sure theirs is an extra roll in the bathroom when they do housekeeping in the morning. Was bit disappointed on how long the grotto bar and food trucks were open. Sometimes i noticed they close at 5 sometimes they close at 9. They really should post times when they are open.

Amenities and location are nice. Breakfast is very nice.

The cleaner ladies were nice but none that I experienced could speak English which made it really difficult to communicate concerns. As a kid friendly resort, appropriate swimwear should be enforced while on the premises. Another guest brought a pitbull dog into the pool with kids around. At breakfast there was some miscommunication on which waitress was working which tables and we got passed by for 15 minutes. We finally asked a server to help us. She was super sweet. She deserves a raise.

It was way too loud and crowded…. If I had known how huge and crowded and loud I would’ve chosen a different hotel. Lots of kids and loud music. Huge loud concert was going on our first night we were exhausted and couldn’t sleep. Had to sit and listen to 3 hours of booming music we didn’t want to hear.
