Staff were very friendly, very helpful as well. Property was a basic motel, but everything was clean and it felt very homelike due to the staff. Room was fair sized with two queen beds. Very walkable to downtown Santa Cruz (boardwalk was 1.8 miles away). This is a family owned establishment, the daughter of the owners was working through my stay and helped us to book another night at a very fair rate for the time we booked. Would recommend for anybody who is on a budget and wanted to feel safe and taken care of.
Air conditioner was too close to bed to be comfortable through the night.

I loved the location. It was close to everything I wanted to do. The room was small but for only staying one night, it was great. The staff were really friendly and the beds were comfortable.

Nice people. Accommodating as much as possible. When she heard my son loves the pool and he was non-speaking autistic. She put us downstairs with a deep tub. The outside pool was not heated. However the weather was decent enough that the pool wasn't too cold and my son enjoy a night swim. And then two hours the next day while the sun was out. Decently priced. Very close to the boardwalk and other stores and restaurants.
I have fibromyalgia so I like a good mattress. But the mattress wasn't bad. I've definitely slept in very uncomfortable motel beds that were way too stiff. I would have liked a room with two king beds but that's pretty rare to come by at any hotel.
