We booked a king room. Got “upgraded” to a suite that was really nice but the bed was only a queen and it was a fold out bed from the wall. The AC on that side of the suite didn’t work so it was hot at night. The last night me and my husband slept on the pull out in the living room area with the working ac and it was better. We are also from AZ and love our ac. We were so grateful for the upgrade but the bed could have been a lot better. Hate to complain because everything else is always magical!

The room had stains on the carpet and location of our room backed up to the neighborhood and delivery area where all you heard was beeping and horns of trucks back up.

We had a “kitchen” with absolutely nothing in it.. didn’t even get glasses for drinks .. would’ve expected the bare essentials. We had a lot of kids min our room who made and we asked for cleaning and they didn’t vacuum or anything.. we had to borrow vacuum to try to clean. Toilet clogged twice and made a mess and we didn’t have anything to clean it.. room service came the next day at 5pm after we were gone all day .. I think they need a bigger cleaning staff.

The bed was comfortable and pillows were good. Food at the restaurant was good.
The decor was datedbthe room was nothing special. My view including a sliver of water, the parking deck and loading area. The noise from anyone close to you opening their balcony door was insane especially at 1 am. The elevators in their tower building were super slow. The housekeeping was hit or miss. The one day it looked like they dropped the bottled water on desk, didn't take the trash, but did make the bed. I don't meed daily housekeeping but if it gets done it should be the same standard each day.They charge a "resort fee" even though there were zero activities and the pool the whirlpool were closed. You could use their "sisiter" property but you either had to drive or it was a 40 minute walk. No mention of this at the check in just a sign on pool. I had an issue with my bill the front desk woman was rude and kept rolling her eyes at me. Despite, the hotel charging my card twice I was called early on Monday morning informing me they needed my card AGAIN but couldn't tell me what the charges on my card were about. Now I have to watch credit card to see if there anything that needs to disputed. Absolutely THE WORST BOOKING I HAVE EVER MADE THROUGH THIS SITE.

The rooms at Booking.com were misleading! I was trying to book a garden room with patio and ended up with the tower! I asked to replace with a room that is on the two floor building and got a room in the worst location with view on the parking lot. I will never order again at booking.com you even asked me to select base or 1st floor and it was all fake

Lovely outdoor areas! So beautiful walking around the property and seeing the pond etc. Having a double queen room right on the walkway/lawn so we could let the kids out to go walk around was so nice. Pool was good - pretty good temperature. Cool seeing the parrots.
The beds were just so uncomfortable to us. The kids didn’t care obviously but I felt like the beds hadn’t been updated in awhile- a combination of being really saggy in the middle and also rock hard / worn down.

The location was perfect for us. The staff was really helpful and accommodating. Definitely would stay again.
Only issue would be getting help with luggage from an upstairs room when checking out. We were in a back section room upstairs, so needed help getting luggage upstairs&down.

I have always loved the Catamaran . Since the 80’s I come for brunch, hoping to stay for a few days in the future. Finally for my 70th birthday I made it happen. The staff is amazing. The environment is so beautiful and relaxing.
Our room was in the back of the hotel in the corner. Also I was so disappointed that the buffet bunch was discontinued. I feel it was in the league with the Queen Mary’s brunch.

We were put in a room that had a dirty dog, musty, urine smell originally. The staff however was very responsive. Lorenzo sent Mohammed and crew to shampoo the carpet which led me to believe it was a known issue. The smell persisted and they graciously moved us the next morning. They should replace the carpet in that room. Other than that it was a great stay therefore I would recommend.

The activities would be better identified, took me a while to find the Ula dance class (there was no sign). The number of towels to the number of room occupants was also challenging, we requested for extra ones since we were 4 people and only 3 towels were replaced daily.

I originally booked a garden room, when I arrived I was told the room was not ready and that I would be moved to a room in the tower. On the second night sometime after dinner a loud noise was heard in the room above us, I called the front desk, they said that there was a clogged drain and that they needed to snake it. I asked how long this would take they said another 30-60 minutes. Then I was told that they would work on it at another time, but the work continued on and off for another hour or so. That was not very nice to tell me one thing and do the opposite.

We love the Catamaran!! When we come to see our son, we try to stay at the Catamaran !! It’s clean and beautiful!! The staff is top notch !!
The yard work should not start before 8:00 am!! The blower and lawn mowers on Tuesday morning we too early and woke us up around 6:30 am

Loved that it was right across the street from the beach, plus being right on bay was nice. They had fun activities for my kids they loved doing it each day and the lady's were super nice. The hula dance lessons were fun addition for whole family also!

Resort fee issues. My receipt from Booking.com clearly proved that I paid the resort fee ($175 total) in advance. However, the hotel had no record of my payment. There was a discrepancy between what I paid Booking.com and the amount Booking.com forwarded to the hotel. I tried calling Booking.com five times (to an Indian call center) and got hung up on each time after a few minutes of discussion. The resort manager "waived" my resort fee, which was great, but I PAID it. Also, this is the SECOND time this has happened. I had the same experience elsewhere and was charged a second resort fee and had to chase down a refund. I am led to conclude that Booking.com is pocketing the resort fees they collect for hotels. Twice now, I have pre-paid a resort fee, but the property claims they did not receive it from Booking.com.

The location was great, the spa was nice, our server at Oceana (David) was flawless. We loved the chairs on the lawn with no pressure to order food/drinks and we appreciated the coffee bar in the lobby.
The Tower is shabby. Fresh carpet doesn’t hide the dingy, banged up, and dated halls and rooms. The bathroom was just embarrassing with a sheet of cheap vinyl pasted over old tile and a cheap shower curtain like a roadside motel. The hallway was the worst—dirty, gouged ceiling tiles, musty textures walls and the faint (but unmistakeable) smell of vomit. Someone spilled red wine in several places on Fri night and it was still there when we left Sunday. This cost us $400/night.

The room location was wonderful. We had a great view of the bay as well as activities outside our window. The trade off was the noise that went on until the wee hours of the morning. People having fun and enjoying themselves - which is good for them. But not so good if you're looking for a quiet spot to sleep. The trade off was worth it though.
We did not have shower soap when we arrived. After reporting it to the front desk, we still didn't get it and we had to go looking for it the next day. Showering with shampoo worked just fine, but having the liquid shower soap would have been nice.

We’re upgraded to a room with view over bay which was stunning, great room, big lounge, separate bedroom, 2 massive TV’s. Hotel entrance stunning water features and carp.
Relatively minor, slide door on room to balcony was very stiff, wife couldn’t open it. Cleaners didn’t take glasses (from bar night before) or replace dirty glasses from room. Some staff were uninterested in serving, one was quite rude, although the guy in the front desk was absolutely excellent (wish I could remember his name).

Coffee/tea + ice water the lobby for hotel guests. Since breakfast was not included, management could have offered fruits (banana, apples, oranges) in the lobby, in addition to coffee/tea. These are minimal things that we often get at a typical hotel.

Staff was very attentive. I called ahead with a special request and upon my arrival everything was ready. Also, anything I requested during my visit was promptly taken care of.
