Will not stay here again

The hotel has a beautiful, well-maintained territory. There is a large swimming pool and a spacious hot jacuzzi, which is a nice bonus. The beach is good and equipped with sun loungers, making it comfortable to relax by the water.

The rooms are very outdated, and the carpet has an unpleasant smell. In our room, the iron was not working, and there was no body wash provided. Also, a microwave is only available upon request, which felt unusual. Additionally, if your room faces the bay and the wild beach, it can be quite noisy at night. There is a club or bar across the beach with very loud music that continues even after 2 a.m.

Pretty good stay!

Loved the cute resort feeling it had. Our room was clean, and great view of the bay from our windows! Loved how close to the beach it was and to shops! Kids loved the pool to!

The pizza restaurant was really good, but services was slow and felt it was a bit over priced

We were first put in room 490. The building itself was dirty. The hallway was dirty. The room was a little dirty, but as soon as we also got into the room, the power went out and we didn’t get no notification that the power was gonna be out. But it was very offputting that the room was dirty. I got a small upgrade due to the power outage, but even the upgraded room was a little dirty. I was also very disappointed with how small the bathtub was I couldn’t even fit in it.

The beach and location were gorgeous. Pool and hot tub were very pretty.

Everything was over-the-top expensive, with added resort fees and other unusual fees added to each day. The parking was very frustrating and limited. Walking from the farthest building to the pool meant walking through a narrow parking lot with kids several minutes before getting to a sidewalk. There is no self-serve laundry, so if you need to wash a few clothes, you either need to go to a laundry mat or pay $10 per t-shirt.

The facility is clean but dated. Definitely better places to stay

Older property. The room was large and had a kitchenette that included microwave & toaster. Mission Beach is a 10 min walk, but it’s a bit of a “shady” area, which I didn’t expect and I wouldn’t have been comfortable walking at night around there. It’s at least $20us each way to catch a lyft or uber ride to SAN Diego. I didn’t expect it to cost so much as it doesn’t look that far on the maps….

Though the room had a kitchenette there was no cups, bowls, plates or cutlery supplied. Not clear if you are supposed to BYO? Is that a US thing? Coming from overseas, these aren’t items we could pack anyway so what’s the point of paying extra for a kitchenette? One night my daughter wanted plain pasta with Parmesan cheese.. the onsite restaurant charged $15us plus tax for about a cup of cooked pasta that was probably worth $1..

An all in one perfect hotel!

Lots of helpful staff to meet our needs, with quick response time. Very friendly staff. Nice pool and jacuzzi. I'd say the location was superb; we didn't drive anywhere!!! Belmont Park, a great children's playground, fun taco places to eat and the beach so close too. And if you surf like we do, the waves are good just a short walk away. Room very clean, with lots of towels. I'll stay at the Bahia anytime!

Disappointing

Location and restaurant were nice

Upon arrival the room was warm and when turning on the AC unit we noticed a ton of mold in the vents. I went to the front desk and showed them the photo, they called it lint and sent someone to clean it. I can only imagine what the inside of the AC unit looks like. The morning we left we also noticed mold in the sink and shower. I informed the front desk upon check out and they did not seem to care and just said they’d put in a maintenance request for the room. Pretty disappointed with how they handled there being mold in several places especially when we had a baby with us. We were there celebrating a milestone birthday which I had mentioned when booking and also upon check in. Any other hotel would have sent something small to the room. Nothing 🤷🏻‍♀️ The area was nice but underwhelmed with the staff and issues we had.

Bum central

Love location and the grounds are so pretty.

The bums out our back door ALL 3 DAYS. Changing, yelling, drinking, fighting. Could not enjoy our back table or lounge area. Daughter couldn’t go out. We’re actually afraid. Trying to watch fireworks was impossible as one was naked changing . So frustrating when you pay this much and aren’t told. Would have only booked the other side if we were told . Took videos of the yelling and fighting

The Bahia was a welcome treat and a beautiful environment to wake up in after a tough travel day with 12 hour delay.

The Customer Service!! We called just before midnight to get a room because we suffered a 12 hour flight delay- Martins at the front desk was very personable, helpful, and gave EXCELLENT customer service! The resort is beautiful and lush, with both a beachfront sandy beach setting as well as a beautiful pool. We had great service in the lovely restaurant with both covered ( and open) patio dining areas. Definitely would stay again!

Bathroom and vanity/single sink area outside the bathroom were small- but fine for our short stay. Our room looked out onto the beautiful beach area.

I asked for a Late Check out on Sunday because I overhead others and they granted them at check in but Sunday I asked and they said no then I jumped in the shower they came banging on the door when I got out the guy said it was no hurry to leave he was very nice.

What you see online is not what you get

Mission bay is a nice location. The seals were cute!

Way overpriced for what you get, calling the hotel a resort is a stretch. It’s in need of some renovation, our bathroom was not very clean, stairs were not usable so we had to take the elevator. The chairs on the private beach needed cleaning, the pool and activities on the website look great - not as good in real life. Being at the end of the property overlooking the public parking with a bunch of RVs parked wasn’t too great either. We were woken up multiple times by people outside, and ended up switching hotels. Staff did not even ask why when we checked out early.

Perfect for a family holiday with kids

The location is perfect for family. It is close to park and playgrounds, also the beach and the sea. The kids can enjoy a lot of activities within walking distance. The room is spacious. Staff friendly and helpful.

Do not take the first floor room. A lot of people camping outside. Can be a bit noisy and lack of privacy.

property pics failed to show true property. homeless and drug use outside property with no security measure to prevent unauthorized access to property. Meal prices were outrageous. Sliding door was hard to open and close. beach was not clean and nowhere near what pics described or showed.

Could be much better

We had many issues with the stay. Overall the staff did their best to help, but it was not enough to say we had a good stay.

We got upgraded rooms for the stay, but the hotel didn't mention that there is a triathlon just outside the upgraded room on the lake, which caused us to wake up in at 5 am in stress that there is an alarm, and continued to late hours of the morning (the hotel did refund us for the night, but still we had a terrible night). The door to the room did not close good enough, and you had to use lots of force. The issue, is that house keeping did not make sure the door was closed, and our room was open for the day (luckily nothing was taken).

Very enjoyable stay!

All the staff were very courteous and polite and very friendly. They maintain the property well. Great walking distance to Mission Beach so you don’t have to worry about parking. Lots of activities right on site.

The location, the private beach, the swimming pool and the staff.

The indoor and outdoor carpet was dirty and smelt bad. The walls are very thin. The mattresses are not firm enough.
