Location and view

Aging facility, bathroom showing it’s age. Too bad they did not coordinate with the birding festival. The next time I come to the birding festival I will stay at a hotel that supports the festival.

The room was great

The jacuzzi was not working. When I made the reservation I specifically asked if the jacuzzi was working during my stay. I was assured that it would be. When I arrived, it was not working. The staff could have cared less and said it was all the 3rd party’s issue. Doesn’t the Inn hire the 3rd party, Booking? When I made the reservation, I was informed the jacuzzi was being serviced December 10-12. I arrived on the 28th. That was seriously a problem. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and have never been treated so poorly. I am disappointed.

Nice views from the upper rooms, but not worth the loss of sleep.

The beds were terribly saggy and uneven…we slept very poorly! The jacuzzi was mot operable though the checkin person told us about its availability.

At check in the lady was looking at my card and making sure the staff member behind her sign and made it feel very awkward as if they were making fun of me.

Lovely place to stay, views of Morro Bay.

Great location. We had a room with a sea view and could see the birds and the rock which was lovely to look at through out the day and early morning and evening. It was wonderful to observe the wildlife. The room was clean and comfortable. The Museum of natural history was within easy walking distance and was very interesting. The restaurant and bar was welcoming. If I could ask for one thing it would be free water to make tea and coffee. Water was available to purchase. On site care parking was convenient.

Room was tastefully decorated.

Room smelt slightly musty/damp. Slight issue with trying to gain access into the room, and the customer service could have been better at getting this issue resolved quicker.

Beautiful place for a beautiful time of year.

Always been a great hideaway place. Comfort and scenery perfect. Always a treat to stay there away from the hectic areas.

Bar closed a little early. Took a little longer to get drinks than iam accustomed too. Otherwise okay.

Good half way stopping point for our road trip, staff were very quick at checking us in at a late time.

I liked the location and the fact that they allow pets but that’s about it. It was very filthy, cobwebs on the ceiling and bugs all over the room.

The bed was definitely not a king, it was a queen and uncomfortable. The tv sucked. The fridge sucked.

We love this property but it needs a lot of attention.

We have been coming to this location for a couple of decades now. They have all the services we desire but the property itself-pool, handrails, balconies, driveways-are tired and in need of attention. The ownership needs to spend what's necessary to upgrade the property to account for the nightly cost. We had just stayed in St. Helena, Sacramento and Pasadena and like I said, this property needs a lot of love.

The hot tub needed resurfacing and jets replaced, the grab bars has been loose for years, the pool was dirty and needed to be shocked, there was bird poop on the railings. The balconies tip at an uncomfortable angle. The parking lot has trip hazards. This property needs help, it's decaying.

There was no A/C. The beds were too soft, making it difficult to sleep and stay on the bed. I was not thrilled with the condition/cleanliness of the room.

Far below expectations.

The room was not clean and the sheets had not been changed from the previous occupants. They were soiled and it was not feasible for our children to sleep in the bes. As a result we we forced to check out and find alternative accommodation.

The room was horrible. The bed was lumpy and crooked. The couch was broke and the screen to the balcony was torn.

Your staff is so kind, friendly, and efficient. Again, the location always draws me back.

The location is lovely, and it is quiet as compared to being downtown. I usually want to stay in one of your ocean front rooms.

The bathrooms need some attention to mold, broken fans, and rust. I know you have been trying to upgrade your rooms and yet keep them rented. Completing the improvements, so the rooms don’t look like it was a rush job, would leave a better impression.

Great place for the bird enthusiasts

Great view of the Bay and nice walking paths around the area.

The heater for the room was 6in from the bed, and bathroom had mold. Also, no one mentions the bird sanctuary which is cool but it’s gross because they aren’t washing down the walkways. So you’re walking around with bird poop on your shoes in the room.

Way overpriced. Would not stay again.

The location and the lobby are lovely. The huge windows looking out over the bay from the bar/restaurant are the highlight of the property. Our room was clean and newly redecorated. Guest services were very nice and very helpful.

Unfortunately, our room was lacking. One of the beds was broken, the room was very small and our refridgerator didn't work. Double beds are full, not queens. The patio off our room would have been a great amenity, but the furniture was dirty and uncomfortable. I had expectations due to the price, but the property looked surprisingly uncared for. Unfortunate because it has a lot of potential.

Disappointing...

The pool

Booked a family room for 4 but got a room for 2 with two small double beds cramed in. It was damp, with terrible WIFI, lumpy ripped blankets and only 2 towels provided. Dirty towels were on the balcony. There was no direct beach access and the Inn is not near the restaurants and main town. Overall, tired and very poor value for money.

Location was nice. Outside of hotel was pretty. Pool and hot tub were great. Restaurant and staff were awesome!

No body wash in one room. Asked for extra towels and didn't receive them. Duct tape on floor to hold down tile. Double beds were uncomforable.

Despite some negatives, I would stay here again. It’s such a laid back community, very relaxing getaway town.

Beautiful location, right on the water with great views. Food was very good, grounds are nice, staff we encountered were very friendly, very close to a golf course, short drive to town, great restaurants in Morro Bay, especially The Galley.

Any properties on the waterfront sustain damage. Room 521 needs attention. No body soap in shower because dispenser was missing, had to request soap from housekeeping, smoke detector was hanging loose on wall, bed wasn’t very comfortable. Room needs a general refreshing.

I ordered a 49 dollar garlic steak and it was just a raw steak and not cooked in any garlic when I returned it they just stuck the same plate under the broiler and added a small cup of garlic sauce
