About this apartment rental
Apartment sunny and very pleasant, with parking in the basement located 150 meters from the residence and available for free. It consists of a large fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with bath, washing machine, and a separate toilet, and a bedroom with two beds 90x190 cm that can together to make a double bed of 180x190 cm. The room also has a large sofa, an armchair, a coffee table, a TV and a DVD player, composing a sitting area overlooking the terrace. The total area of this apartment is 38 m2 and can comfortably accommodate two people. It is located in a residential area, quiet, in the heart of Cimiez, five minutes walk from the Roman ruins of Arênes Cemenelum, the Matisse Museum, the Monastery of Cimiez and its splendid rose garden. The Chagall Museum is also nearby and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMAC) is easily accessible on foot or by bus. Vieux Nice (Old Town) and its famous market and its Opera, is not far away (by bus or on foot). The sea and its famous pebble beaches, the port of Nice, the Nautical Centre, the city center and its shops, cinemas, theater (TNN) are also nearby. Shops are located 150 m from the apartment: bakery, butcher, newsagent, post office, supermarket ... and two pharmacies, doctors, two hairdressers, laundry ...
The apartment is located 9 km from Nice Airport and 2 km from Nice Train Station. It is very easily accessible by bus: Bus 17 towards Cimiez Monastery, off Prince of Wales.
It is fully equipped with flat screen TV and DVD player (several DVDs are available), large refrigerator (200 liters) and large freezer (80 liters), microwave, ceramic hob and electric oven, dishwasher, coffee machine , toaster, washing machine, mini hi-fi, garden furniture and awning-canvas all over the balcony.
Bed linen is provided and the linens (towels, tea towels, table linen).
For reasons of health the apartment does not accommodate our animal friends.
The apartment is non smoking.
A cleaning fee of 40 euros is charged in addition to the price of the stay.
The city tax is 1.50 Euros per day per person (free for under 18). It adds to the price of the stay.

Small but nice apartment with a fantastic view, about half an hour's walk from the old town and the beach. Perfect for two people. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The host is very friendly and available at any time. We were even allowed a later check-out. We had a great vacation!

Summary: Very well appointed apartment, with pleasant southern sun exposure in the winter. Nice view of the city toward the sea, quiet neighborhood. Walking to the beach takes 40 minutes, but use of buses reduces the trip time to 30 minutes. Note that the garage parking spot is small.
Details:
Pros:
o Excellent communication with the host at all times
o Multiple sets of good-quality sheets, towels, blankets in the closets
o Nice clean building with marble in the hall, modern elevator
o Nice view of the city with a bit of blue mediterranean sea
o Quiet residential neighborhood with little traffic day and night
o Well appointed kitchen: dishwasher, American-size refrigerator, very complete set of utensils and dishes. Good washing machine in bathroom
o Excellent soaking bathtub that fills in 5 minutes
Cons:
o Some pictures of the sea on vrbo site are taken with strong telescoping lens. By bus it takes 30 minutes to reach the sea.
o Single beds are shorter than US beds. I am 5'8 and I wished they were longer. They might be uncomfortable for taller people.
o Garage can only accommodate the compact car of a non-claustrophobic driver with strong European parking skills.
Overall, 5 stars are well deserved.

Property was very clean and we felt secure. It was comfortable and well equipped. Our host lived in the same block of apartments and was extremely helpful and kind, leaving basic food because we arrived so late. He even took us to the station early on the last morning because booking a taxi was proving too difficult. The apartment was spotless and easy to live in and we really enjoyed our time there.
