Excellent service. Has all the essentials: spacious washroom, nice shower, microwave and fridge.

When I checked in on Feb 12, I arrived around 9pm and the front desk was very helpful. Before I even mentioned my room preference, he told me he had carefully reviewed my online request and had already assigned a room exactly as I would like. This is exceptional service. I’ve requested specific room types many times at other hotels, but almost no one has ever paid attention.

The building is old and needs a little upgrade.

Great place to stay on a budget with friendly people and private location.

The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. I loved the coffee in the room; it was much better than the coffee in the lobby. Breakfast was good. You should get eggs or yogurt too.

It was loud a lot of times, and you could smell smoke and weed.

But hey what do you expect when it's 12 degrees outside 🤷🏽‍♀️ My overall stay was great and I will definitely be staying again! I don't care for Melvindale but the hotel made it worth it!

Cheap and hood

There was no breakfast just bagels and juice at 8am. Then there was a homeless guy laying on the couch when we checked in. Then the next morning he was still there at breakfast, he was sleeping on chairs in the breakfast room. Then there was someone staying across the hall that I’m pretty sure was doing illegal stuff they had traffic at all hours both nights we where there. Some of there guest knocked over 5 minutes!

Would be the worse place I have ever stayed.

Property was poorly taken care of. Tv did not work right. The lamp buy the table was broken and the bulb and fixture was hanging out. Lamp by the bed was was falling apart. The is so much scum on makeup mirror in the bathroom you could use. AC did not work correctly.

Nothing was to like about the property. Spent two nights listening to the people in the next room scream and fight with each other. When brought to the staff attention they offered no help or refund. Staff didn’t really seem to care about that we have a bad experience. Staff didn’t seem to even want to be there.

The room we received was filthy, hair on the vents and beds. The pool was foggy and had clumps of hair. I checked out after one day and the front desk give me grief about canceling the rest of my stay. Breakfast was cereal with no milk. The tv did not work in the room. The pool was ice cold. The fridge did not keep anything cold.

I went to the red roof to relax and get a piece of mind it’s the spring time so why didn’t the ac work also I had gotten a jacuzzi suite the tub kept turning in by itself which messed with my sleep

I think I should've got some money back or free stay says they have breakfast wasn't no breakfast like it used to be no waffles no cream cheese for bagel no apple juice coffee was terrible in hot tub jets didn't work at all and he said it was the best room it was terrible for what we paid for fire place didn't work either the worker act like he was scared to help told us last minute we could go to another room was so late wasn't about to move that late coffee maker in room was broken terrible terrible

Poorly managed common arias dirty and did not live up the the standards of red roof inn

When we first arrives the staff stated that the pool was not working when I advised them that the pool was the only reason I booked the room and that it was a must they miraculously got the pool running and open. They also tried to charge a 100 dollar deposit which was not disclosed prior to booking. Paint on the toilet in the room. Halls were dirty and unkempt

I liked the fact that I could bring my dog and have her with me for our emergency trip. Great staff had a complaint about a strange man that talked to my young daughter and front desk staff addressed the issue right away and informed me right away. Great staff.

Great Price, Clean.

It was a great price and it was clean, so I was happy. They were able to give us early check-in, and put two rooms next door to each other. Overall good experience for a one night stay! Would considering booking again if price is similar.

It seemed a little dated compared to the photos I saw. Location wasn’t the greatest, but we didn’t spend much time at the hotel anyways.
