Holiday Inn Portland- I-5 S Wilsonville by IHG

I liked the breakfast Buffet it does cost $14, and I love the location right near a shopping center, and I-5. The gas station nearby has amazing staff and is a good area of town.

There was a small amount of poop smeared on the wall which was uncomfortable to be around. There was also hair on our ceiling that looked like an odd place to have hair. The beds are comfortable. I also didn't like that the alternative side entrances were unlocked, I prefer inconvenience of having to unlock side entrances just as an extra safety measure. There were also some exposed wires on the 5th floor that was concerning. Overall staff is friendly.

I had dinner in the restaurant one night. I had the salmon dinner. It was delicious.

I was disappointed in the breakfast. It was very basic. I have stayed at other Holiday Inns, where they have the omelettes. (Which are delicious ) The only fresh fruit they had was a mixed fruit bowl. No apple juice or orange juice. No oatmeal no waffles. For the extra price, it was a letdown

The bedding smelled strongly of beach. It’s nice that they were clean, but breathing bleach is not nice.

The breakfast was great. The coffee machine in the lobby is awesome.

Upon check-in, I asked to be placed as near the meeting rooms as possible because I had a load of stuff to carry. I was there the day before the conference started and didn't see many people at the hotel and the young man at the desk actually placed me very far away from them. On the other hand, a help young lady working the desk actually chased us out to the car to give us a brochure about nearby restaurants we had asked about. On Friday night, we looked online at the menu for the onsite restaurant and were disappointed to see the they actually had was drastically less impressive and very limited. One man was doing the best he could to host, wait tables, bartend, and bus tables. A bunch of us ate there Saturday night and it was good. They knew over 200 people were coming there for an event and they should have some help for that poor fellow.

Rm smelled bad, floor needs shampooing very small and outdated.

Delicious hot breakfast buffet with a great variety of food! Staff were kind and helpful! Our room was a great size with very comfortable beds! There was a cool machine in the lobby that served a variety of drinks, and we really enjoyed the free hot cocoa and coffee! The indoor pool was awesome too!
