Just what we needed after 2 days on Zephyr train.

Just a short walk from the train station, which suited us travelling on Zephyr train but nice and quiet area. Good breakfast. Very comfortable beds. Helpful friendly staff. Walking distance of town centre.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The location to Old Town is excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We visited during very hot weather and the room air conditioner was quite noisy. However, we were so tired from our long drive that we did manage to get a pretty good night's sleep. The breakfast was "so-so".

Staff was great - very friendly and helpful, and recommended a great pub for dinner that night. Hotel is old and some aspects were in need of updating, but room was fine. I did definitely feel after staying there that the room was overpriced for what it was. Breakfast was ok. Had to pay for parking which is annoying, but the hotel was right downtown so I guess space is limited.

Fun night in GJ

spent a night in Grand Junction to check the area out. The hotel was in a nice area that was easy walking to restaurants and bars. Pool was nice but does sit right on the street. Room was comfortable and staff was very friendly. Covered parking was an unexpected benefit as well.

Location

Booked this hotel because I was going to have surgery and a hospital stay and my husband was staying at the hotel while I was in hospital, and both of us stayed a night after I was discharged. I was not told ahead of time that the hotel charges $11/night parking behind the hotel, but we agreed because the back entrance was adjacent to the elevator (we were in an accessible room on the top floor). There was no notification ahead of time, or even on the morning of the day I was discharged and would need to stay back at the hotel that the back parking lot would be closed to be resurfaced and the back entrance of hotel locked. We managed to nab the last parking spot in what was still left open (the lot next to our hotel was cordoned off) around 6pm and we got to the back door and it was locked. A man inside tried to open the door for us but the door is not equipped with a crash bar and cannot be opened in case of fire even, which surely must be a fire code violation. My husband rang the bell and we were told we had to walk around the block and come in the front, and when my husband tried to explain I had just had surgery the lady at the front desk said she was alone and she was checking someone in and hung up on us. She was rude but I suspect that this hotel is wildly understaffed, and everyone working there seemed pretty fed up. The room was ok, but the sliding door to the accessible bathroom weighed a ton, I don’t see how anyone in a wheelchair chair or not very mobile could easily use it. I had to have help opening and closing it. The toilet handle was broken, all of the appliances didn’t work, there was a live plug somewhere but we couldn’t figure out how to get to it, so couldn’t use the coffee maker or microwave. And the place smelled of stale cigarettes. I won’t be going back, but fortunately I don’t normally need to book hotels in GJ.

Breakfast was excellent. We chose the Inn because it's within walking distance to the train station. Mattress was awesome.

We didn't like that we had to pay for parking, but it seems that's the way it is these days. There was a couple little bugaboos in the room but they addressed them immediately.

This is the best Hampton Inn I've stayed at. Right on Main Street and walkable to shops and restaurants. They offer covered parking with easy access into the hotel. Great breakfast, very clean and comfortable room.

Excellent facility! Now I can't remember all the names, but Alex at the front desk always smiling. the other gentleman was awesome and very helpful, as was the property mgr, Superv in housekeeping who let us in our room, and the sweet lady who made amazing breakfasts each morning, FULL breakfast of eggs, waffles, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, juice. Amazing!! Room was very comfortable, nice size bathroom with big mirrors, nice linens. Every time we left our room, housekeeping ladies in the hall would greet us with a happy Hi and Have a Nice Day. I've NEVER experienced that at other places.

Hampton Inn does not disappoint weary travelers!

Great downtown location with walkability to dining and shops. We enjoy breakfast, good coffee and customer service at Hampton Inn nationwide. Two brewpubs just a short walk from property among other dining options.

Key cards were exchanged twice to get into room but issue was quickly resolved.

Great location right in downtown. The hotel is reasonably priced compared to other options in Grand Junction. Complimentary hot breakfast and drinks in the lobby. The breakfast was the typical items but was well stocked and clean. The staff was very friendly.
