The hotel was nice but the staff ruined the stay for us.

The breakfast was decent and the bed was comfortable.

The staff was not friendly or helpful. The temperature outside was in the single digits with snow and ice. My teenage son went outside around 5am to start loading our vehicle for our return trip home. The lady at the front desk who had green hair saw him exit. The front door was locked and he forgot the room key to get back in the door. He knocked and waved to get her attention and she walked over to the door then proceeded to ignore him and kept walking. She got a cup a coffee and sat with her back to him and continued to ignore him. Fortunately he had his phone and was able to contact us to get in. We left a few minutes later and she continued to sit with her back to us.

Lobby is cold. pool water was over chlorinated, could smell it on the 3rd floor. Only one elevator in main lobby causes congestion

Breakfast-eggs were cold after they were just brought out. The sheets on the bed were not soft. They were rough and“pill-y” as if they were washed with a huge load of towels.

Recommended hotel with quality staff

Overall a very solid hotel, with clean rooms. Bed was good, as was the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. I liked breakfast was served 6am all days of the week and not 7am on weekends as some other hotels. I liked the fireplace and when used took the chill out of the air without turning heat on. Thermostat on the fireplace would be good to turn off when it became warm in the room.

Large room had lots of floor space and needed some additional furniture, as it appears something was "missing." Desk char could have been slightly more comfortable. Shower head was very high and would have been ok at that height if it had a removable shower head. That one feature would be a big plus.

Having to wait to check in , they charged $75 extra for ( incidentals) they call it. Then having to wait 3 days after check out to receive the refund back because there was no damage reported or towels stolen. I’m appalled that you would charge me first then only after providing proof that I was not a thief you refund my deposit. This is something new and I don’t like it.

Pleasant - Aim for an excellent

The manager got involved because our initial room choice (and the 2nd choice) were not satisfactory. Pool, location, "snack" bar area, and service was great. Breakfast tasty and more than carbs (eggs, meat).

First floor rooms (2 of them) were slightly dirty and smelled terribly. Found out you all allow animals! And someone must have smoked. Got a 3rd floor room. Breakfast was surprisingly better than most, but then waffle irons (2 of them) both not working!

It was a wonderful experience!

My family enjoyed the pool most of all along with the free breakfast in the mornings. Us parents really loved the quiet time that happened at a certain time each night too.

The bathroom could have been cleaned better due to hair still on the shower floor.

Nice plan that offers a good breakfast; would stay again.

Room was very nice and clean. Loved the walk-in shower. Also liked the additional sink and cabinet area located outside the bathroom with coffee pot. Very good breakfast with a nice variety. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Appreciated the notice in the elevator that loud noise would not be tolerated from 10 pm - 6 am.

I did not read the card located inside the room that stated you need to place this card on your pillow if you want clean linens the second night. Wish they had stated that upon check in. I would have hung my towels up over the glass shower enclosure to dry instead of laying them in the corner for housekeeping to pick up. Not a real problem. Would stay there again.

Refrigerator didn't get very cold and the toilet was stained inside. Needs rust removed or replace toilet. It was difficult for staff to keep kids from running up and down the hallway for hours at a time.

A solid alternative to any of the woke cookie-cutter Hilton properties nearby.

Friendly, courteous staff. We were welcomed upon arriving, and given "the-lay-of-the-land" RE: breakfast times, check-out, and local dining tips. The exterior property was nicely landscaped and maintained.

This is an older property that could really use an upgrade. Not really "dirty", but worn carpets, furniture, bathroom fixtures, etc. I like to see hotels put money back into their properties and staff. Apparently this isn't a priority with the owners of LaQuinta.
