Pictures in the website is misleading, Smelly washroom, plumbing in vanity not working property. outdated furniture in common area looks like all coming from flea market, , most of them are covered with blanket which are iffy.

Nothing, really.

Missing smoke detector in bedroom. No reliable plugin in bathroom. No iron. When we left we were told that we should have phoned her husband and he would have checked the breaker. People should be informed upon arrival about these things!

For the price I would rather spend a little more to stay in a Motel / inn near by

Location is great if you plan to visit Richmond BC, the owner is nice.

I was expecting a motel/inn stay but instead it was just one of the room + washroom inside the owner's house. The house is clean and tidy but "Everything" seems outdated and inconvenience because I think the owner also live in the same house.

Very nice, one night stay in Richmond

We had two beds in a good size room. Bowls and cutlery were provided that we would have been able to prepare our own breakfast if we wanted. There was a mini fridge available in a common room.

There wasn't air conditioning but there was a very nice fan. We had to rely on the owner to let us into our room as we didn't have a key. If we were staying longer, we could have got the key with a $50 deposit.

Spacious, clean homestay with hospitable host.

The rooms were spacious and clean, with effort put into making sure we were comfortable.

Don't forget this is a homestay, with the host also living in the property downstairs. You basically rent the rooms upstairs. However, this was no issue for us and we were made to feel comfortable.

The room was very nice, although there is no outdoor lock on the bedroom door. There was a designated bathroom for the bedroom; however, the shower was in another bathroom. Arthur was a good host.

There was a lot of clutter in the rest of the ground level floor. A fan was provided for the bedroom as there was no air conditioning. The property looked almost abandoned - weeds, etc.

Good host, good stay.

Arthur was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and it was decently spacious. All necessary amenities were provided. There was also a fan in the room. The bed itself was pretty comfortable for a good sleep. It was quiet for most of the time except when the guests arrived and the movement of trolleys could be audible but it was just for few minutes.

Though the bathroom was private but it was not in the same bedroom, it was away from the room. The washroom opposite to the room could be more cleaner.

Overall, it is a good place to stay as a home inn. It’s clean, quiet, and conveniently located. The owner is kind — he offered us a room with a private bathroom, noting that my original booking was for a room without one. He also sent a list of nearby restaurants with price information, which was very helpful.

A couple of suggestions: consider replacing the faucets, as they are quite old and not convenient to use, and installing air conditioning, as it could get too hot in the summer without it. On the first night when I checked in, there was a bug in the bathtub, but the bathtub was clean.

Arthur is an excellent host- he is very accommodating, keeps an exceptionally clean property, and responds very quickly. This was our second time staying at Vancouver Homestay Inn and we always recommend it to friends and family!

A nice cozy home perfect for a family with kids.

A nice cozy home. Our room was big enough to cater a family of four. The couch in the room was just essential and it was nice to have our own bathroom. The host was very nice and helpful and the place was really comfortable.

The room price is not expensive.

There is no sign for it being an inn, the taxi driver had once missed it from driving on the road. It is just among one of the domestic houses, none would figure it out to be an inn. No cleaning, change of towels or making beda are provided. In case towels need to be cleaned, the tenant has to pay for the washing and operate the washing and drying machines himself. The landloard said it was all written in their policy, but such policy was never revealed by booking.com or by the landlord before or upon check-in. The worst part was that although we have told the landlord we would check-out at around 4:00am, he just requested us to return the room key the night before, when we moved out in early morning, the whole common area (outside our room and downstairs to the entrance of house) was in total darkness. It was fortuntate that we did not fell down the staircase with our suitcases. Thank god! Never recommend it to any one in future.

The house is nice. Our hosts are very kind and friendly. We like the location as it is easy to get to the train station. The neighbourhood is beautiful! Would definitely recommend and come back!

There is no dining table in the living area to enjoy breakfast. Room gets hot and needs to leave the window open at night while the traffic is noisy from back streets. Other than that, the room is spacious and great for us!

Pleasant stay near Steveston

Good location to airport, with comfortable sized room. Great location to bus stop (walkable) and easy drive/uber to Steveston (definitely would recommend a visit - favourite place in Vancouver)

Host didn't speak English well which was an issue - we didn't realise there needed to be a 50CAD deposit (cash unless Canadian bank account) and it was difficult to discuss this with him. We also requested an early check-in which he was able to do until the day before as the current guests requested a late check out so he reverted our early check in. He still let us leave our luggage there until check in, but after a long hall flight from Australia we were desperate to get some rest. Luckily, the neighbour noticed us trying to decide where we should go before our check in and recommended Steveston which was beautiful and took our mind off it.
