Wild Renfrew Seaside Cottages

We were in the 2 bedroom cottage on the ocean. So comfortable and the view with the outside fir pit and patio was exceptional! We loved the kitchen and living room, with super comfortable beds. We sat outside so much and enjoyed the ocean views, what a great way to unwind. We can’t wait to go again. ❤️

Great waterfront location. Basic but well supplied kitchen.

I never could connect to the internet! Password wasn't working. But I didn't ask staff to help. I also found the door lock system to be fussy -- but that could have been my incompetency!

The view and nature. The little beach on the property. Our studio had a hot tub on the deck used all the time. Loved that they had a sauna and plunge tub option on the property for a little extra.

With Port Renfrew being low cell service area internet was not great if you wanted to watch tv. I did find the mattress too firm which did affect my sleep.

The quietness and serene beauty of the setting. It was a special occasion for our family so the accommodations were perfect!

Honestly, I can’t think of anything I did not like.

Oh my goodness what a wonderful stay we had. Came here with 2 of my lads, but I was worried one of us might get pregnant it was such a romantic cabin. At any time of day you just had to look out the window and you'd see seals, otters, and just gorgeous ocean views. Awesome accommodation and to be honest ridiculously cheap for what you get! If I manage to get any sort of romantic partner best believe I'm taking her here.

That we didn't book to stay here longer.

The view! Our room had a beautiful balcony, hot tub and view. So beautiful.

WiFi/internet very spotty; kitchen knives were too dull to cut anything

Beautiful view, friendly welcome from reception, serene surroundings.

Lots of dust under the beds, moldy shower curtain, unfilled shower gel bottles, expensive given the lack of services and amenities.

The walk on the pier was nice and also the beach. It was also a nice little walk to the coffee hut in the morning, the propane fires in the evening were very nice

The drive in towards the cabins was a little confusing but it was also my first time being there and also the fire pit was confusing because on the site it only mentioned the one switch for the gas but there was actually two (the yellow and red)

The location is superb! Can’t beat being right on the water with access to a cool beach to explore. And the cottage itself was lovely and comfortable. The propane fire pit was a HUGE plus that I wasn’t aware of.

The Only cons I have are that the wifi didn’t really work (ended up just using our data), the front door was extremely tricky to open and the bathroom door lock was broken.

Beautiful, scenic, peaceful setting. Gorgeous place to slow down and keep things simple. Beds very comfortable and spacious king! Hot tub greatly appreciated too, along with fire pit!

WiFi was a rather intermittent and when clearing out realised how no cleaning under the beds recently, as a bit dusty. Certainly no deal breaker though.

Being on the ocean was great.

The bathroom was dirty & the shower was full of mold. They came to clean it with bleach & removed the shower curtain.

Nice landscaping. Nice patio with mini fire pit.

Limited privacy - unit was right on road but was described at waterfront. Couldn’t adjust heat so uncomfortable sleeping; opening window made noise/privacy an issue. Area is severely lacking dining options - most there were closed. Hand towel (singular) for two people and washcloths threadbare/scratchy. Expect better quality for price of these accommodations!

Couldn't work the TV at all and the internet was awful.

Location was awesome

No daily service for the room…not acceptable for the price you pay. Seems to be something hotels try and get away with. Calling it a “green approach”….laughable.

Nice, clean, great location.

Our room (number 10) sucked... not because it is on the main dock that everyone walks by... not because it had no way to cook an egg... not because there was no light over the 'kitchen.' It sucked because you had no window to look out of. Never mind having no sea view, there was no view at all. The bathroom and closet are where the window should be so you could see something other than the other unit in the back looking straight into ours. The other units are, sensibly, reversed. Number 10 is like a prison cell. So if you stay here, refuse number 10.

I had a 2 bedroom water front. Better than photos. So well done. Wonderful hotel for lunch and dinner at back of peer and little village. Serene and natural. Highly recommended.

Wonderfully equipped, luxurious water-side cabins in a magical location, absolutely away from it all but with a great pub - serving delicious ales and meals - right on the doorstep. Worth the drive for the peace and solitude and for strolling along the old wooden pier outside your own private patio.

Not much - it is isolated but that’s the beauty of it. There’s a small kitchen area with fridge and microwave, but no oven or hot plate

Beautiful cottage, with everything you need for a short or long stay. I arrived in torrential rain after a 2 hour drive from Victoria in what I now know to be a completely inapproprate hire car, because the latter half of the drive is along a road which liked to literally throw you some surprises! It was quite dangerous in the storm and a small car. Anyway - Port Renfrew really is as isolated as they tell you - I did not do enough research! To get anywhere involves long drives on poor roads. The market only has basics - heed the warning of taking everything with you! However, if what you are looking for is splendid isolation in beautiful surroundings, then this is the place for you! Check in was easy - the door code was emailed to me just as I arrived, and the cottage has a QR code for information, which was really useful A lot of the trails I wanted to do were unfortunately closed (I booked a long time ago!) that and a few days of bad weatso I was forced into two days inside, but it was very much needed for me, away from 'normal' life. Once the very loud and annoying family next door left it was a wonderful peaceful stay. You couldnt really hear anyone else once they were inside (except said loud family, who's kids sounded like a herd of elephants!) so you could just enjoy true down time.

The drive there - hire a decent SUV.

Beautiful location, amazing view. The unit was very clean and comfortable. We loved the private hot tub and outdoor space.

We wish there was a hot plate or even a small bbq outside just because of the limited options for food nearby and an ice machine on site would be great for those staying in the suites without a freezer.

had to have a QR scanner app to access the services, how to use remote, how to check out. Coffee maker had to be moved off the tiny kitchen counter to open for adding water, very inconvenient seaside room was looking out at a tiny body of water about 75 feet across, actual ocean view was down the dock and 1/2 mine away. seems a bit like false advertising.

Clean, fabulous location. Everything was perfect !

Not easy with our 11 months baby and our 3 years old for the bed accommodation.

The view is breathtaking and the cottage is cozy. We really loved sitting around the small outdoor fire, watching the sun set. Very clean and comfy beds. Also nice to have the renfrew pub so close to watch the hockey playoffs!
