Location was good, very clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff, easy check-in. Walking distance to pub.

The location was absolutely fantastic—just a short walk to the seashore, with a pub conveniently right in front of the property. The room itself was clean and spacious, which made for a comfortable stay overall.

The room didn’t have air conditioning, so during the first two nights it was quite warm, and we had to keep the window open even at night. On the third evening, there was a power outage that lasted about 20–30 minutes, and unfortunately later that night the electricity went out again and wasn’t restored until almost morning. Because of this, my CPAP machine couldn’t function, which significantly disrupted my sleep and left me feeling very tired the next day. The refrigerator also stopped cooling, so the food I had stored inside turned lukewarm by morning, which was very disappointing. Lastly, the water pressure in the sink was noticeably low. While the overall location and cleanliness were excellent, these inconveniences did affect the comfort of my stay.

Wifi sucked. Needed to take out your own garbage at the end. Bed was not comfortable. Shower was super noisy. Toilet got easily plugged and they just gave you a plunger to unclog it yourself

Clean and nice room. Only weird discovery is that there was not a counter receptacle in the kitchenette area. I had to place the coffee maker on the bathroom counter to use it. There is also a hood fan above the counter that doesn't seem to serve a purpose. Otherwise great. Thank you

the interney was almoat non existant as it is shared by all the hotel guests and the only pub in town. i teach online and couldnr teach from there. i had to sit in my car at the library and stream from their wifi. not ideal.

The room was clean and in a great location.

The room was not cleaned daily and staff were not available early AM when we wanted coffee. Make sure you have everything you need before 7pm as staff locks up the guest house.

They didn't offer breakfast

I didn't like that the TV in our room did not work I tried to contact Booking.com to demand a refund of some of our money but could not find a method of contact. Very disappointing.

Nice location in the sleepy hamlet of Port Angeles

If you are on the first floor your will hear the footfalls of second floor guests all night long.

Situated conveniently near the bay and entrance to the coastal trails. Coffee, restaurants all right there. Easy access to hikes and the beach. The grounds are adorable.

The WiFi is pretty slow. Not exactly possible to watch a movie without waiting multiple times for it to buffer. The room we had didn’t ventilate very well; our washed laundry didn’t dry.

Very clean, comfortable and great assortment of dishes.

The wifi was dodgy and the TV channel selection was limited.

I was given the option of paying the pet fee on arrival. What I did not know is that you are given a combination for the door lock that is emailed to you. They will not email that to the Booking.com customers until you pay the pet fee. I was not able to access WIFI (which is mentioned in the booking) so I had no idea where I was to stay or how to get a suite. The housekeeper was nice and helped me but without WIFI I had no way to learn I needed to find someone to pay the pet fee. We walked in circles not knowing anything and it was a total waste of time. If there had not been an unlabelled building at a different part of the property we would have had to leave and find somewhere to stay. The room was hot and stuffy even with the heat off, the window open, it was still cooler outside. No air flow. I called and begged for a fan and did get one. It had to be on 2 people at all times.

No breakfast included, restaurants nearby didn’t open early!

The Room was extremely clean and comfortable. The environment lovely and the grassy front area excellent. Very pleasant all round. The small kitchen was also amenable. Staff were friendly too. Overall its a good stay and good value for $..

The Rooms needs CHAIRS... There is good table for eating re: Kitchen facilities but NO CHAIRS. You have to sit on the edge of the bed. There is lovely garden area to sit in the sun and have a glass of wine but only 2 outdoor chairs in the whole place! The parking facilities to the south of the building really need some work. A couple more coffee for a multiple night stay would be beneficial. And please check the TV as there was no access to it our entire stay. These suggestions would give the Lodge an excellent. Thank you

Good value, really nice view, amenities close to lodge and very clean

We rented a suite-the fridge was not what we expected ( almost like a wine fridge) that was very small and barely cold. There's not much room or space to hang out in the room. We brought our own small stools and that was helpful!

Good location and the coffee truck onsite was exceptional.

The bed was terrible; it was obviously very old and certainly has never been rotated. The floor was exceptionally dirty, which was only apparent after walking in bare feet because they turned black. They expect you to wash the dishes and take out the trash, or there is a treat of an additional $75.00 cleaning fee.

Convenient location close to Botanical Beach, Botany Bay, Fairy Lake, Avator Grove and Big Lonely Doug. There was a wonderful coffee truck on the property. Room was clean, comfortable and walking distance to the Pier and the Port Renfrew Pub.

The location was great - we could walk to the pub. The decor of the rooms was nice. We appreciated the special price for this weekend, which is why we came.

They can definitely use more outdoor seating in the garden or some picnic tables. People are coming for the nature, and there were only 2 chairs in the garden which were always occupied, as the lodge seemed almost full. We had to carry a table and 2 little benches down from our room on the second floor to sit on. There also is no ice machine, and nowhere to buy ice, and the liquor store does not sell white wine!!!!

The location was very good. Walking distance to many places. Rooms were very comfy!

The rooms have a large flat screen TV. There were no cable or satellite channels. You had To walk to the pub to watch hockey games.

Right in town, close to trails, restaurants, etc. Decent price for the amenities.

Wifi didn't work at all the first night we were there. While we appreciate unplugging, we were expecting to have internet and so not having it at all in a town also with no phone service to not be able to check in with people or look up some things we wanted to do the next day was really not great. We also couldn't call anyone because there is no one on site in the evening. It seemed to be fixed by the next night, but this was extremely disappointing. They mentioned they were fully booked the first night, but your wifi should be one that can handle the amount of connections even if you are fully booked.

Walls are a little thin - this wasn’t a problem for most of our stay as people were generally respectful, but on one night we had neighbours who were talking and laughing for hours and we could hear the words they were saying. Despite this, I would still recommend as I think they were particularly loud

We were updated to a much better room after talking to staff at the office about not having a microwave.

I made the mistake of booking through Booking.com and ended up paying $50/night more than our friends did. Will contact the lodge directly to book next time.

We loved the thoughtful landscaping and the proximity to the wilderness! The property is very walking friendly to the pub and cafe and the dock. Great for traveling with dogs! All the staff we met were lovely :)

The shower tub screams a bit but other than that it had everything we needed.

Dumb room set up with: Coat hooks over dresser and behind TV so they couldn't be used Only overhead ceiling light near the very back of the room when it's needed at the entry No chairs! A table to eat at but no chairs.
