It was a good location and it was clean and quiet. We appreciated having a restaurant at our doorstep - we were so hungry when we arrived and had to leave early the next morning, so this was very convenient.
I had requested a room without a strong odor. However, this was not the case. The room had a strong desinfectant smell on arrival, and it triggered my allergies during the night (preventing me from sleeping well).

This was a real pleasant surprise. The rooms were massive, comfortable and very clean. All the general facilities you'd expect. The restaurant's food was incredible - just a shame it wasn't open for breakfast on Sunday! The staff were fantastic too including the 'skeleton crew' cleaner on Sunday - we had a great chat. Local taxis were cheap and fast to get into the main part of town.
Decor could stand to be updated a little.
The office was closed when we arrived and left - so it was unclear how to collect and give back keys.

Conveniently close to the highway, in a mall, next to a gas station, a No Frills store and a Tim Horton's. Was not expecting more than what we found in such a Motel. Room was clean, and very basic. Perfect if you just need to spend a night somewhere.
The room has a post affixed to the door that states: "According to the Ontario Law, you are notified that the maximum rate charged for this room is 130 CAD".
Well, according to my Booking reservation, we spent 160 + taxes (~180 CAD) for a single night in that room between 09/27 and 09/28. Honestly, I did not know about this "Ontario Law (and it could be an old thing), but that sign somehow threw me off a bit.
Unaware as we were, we accepted to pay whatever was on Booking.com and no questions asked (Booking might have a surcharge/fee that we are not aware of still not sure how that should add to the maximum rate allowed by law), nonetheless it was quite an expensive night considering that we have slept in basic a motel on a highway. That sign just confirmed our feeling and surely felt a bit weird.
