Reynolds Hotel

The room was very clean and the staff was so helpful for me to upgrade to a queen bed room with couch for my daughter and I. It was a lovely place to stay and I would definitely go back there or recommend to a friend. I was able to have a nice soak in the bath tub after a long day on the mountain. Just what the doctor ordered. I would rate this hotel as more or a 4 star because of the cleanliness, it's currently listed as a 3 star hotel.

Immaculate, well-equipped room

Prior to our arrival at the hotel, which we had pre-booked and paid for, we contacted the owners on-line as we were concerned that our route might be blocked by wildfires. They responded very quickly and advised us of a route which was open. The hotel is on the edge of town, but it is a small town, so nowhere is too far to walk. There is an on-site restaurant and the service and food is good. We had fish and chips and one portion of fish was sufficient. There is also a liquor store and small shop on site. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet and for once the coffee machine was easy to operate!

Good price to stop overnight to break up longer travel days. Comfortable bed. Quaint historic town. Liquor shop onsite

Had an issue with tap popping off in bath tub, causing flooding. I ran down to reception and asked for help. Girl came up with towels, gave me a new room key and then didn't know what to do to stop the water, I told her to give me the towels so I could stop water getting onto carpet and go turn main water off. I packed my things and moved rooms on my own. Owner/Manager came back up and was so rude about how I had caused the issue with me always forcing the tap. I had literally checked into hotel 20mins before and just turned the taps on. I asked how I had caused it when I had literally just walked in. He was rude and kept speaking over me. I walked off and left them to deal with it in the end. Information in room about restaurant on site. I asked reception staff who basically told me they didn't know, was nothing to do with hotel. Not interested in supporting the restaurant or helping customers. Restaurant on site appears to be separately run. Closes at 5pm on a Sunday!! Next to nothing else open to get a meal in town. Felt customers in liquor store were given priority over hotel guests trying to check-in. One lady left to deal with both at hotel check-in time.
