Richca Chalets Resort

I tried when booking to specify a pet-friendly room with 2 beds, but that apparently didn't show up on the booking. So we needed to downgrade to a one-bed room to bring the dog in. Not the comfort we were hoping for. The air conditioner did a good job of filtering the wildfire smoke so that breathing inside was comfortable.

Excellent location. Lovely interior design and the facilities were just perfect.

Customer service was exceptional. We were in Hope overnight to celebrate our adult daughter's birthday after exploring the Coquihalla Canyon and having a picnic at Memorial Park. Our accommodations were perfect for rest and a great nights sleep after a very full day. We highly recommend the Skywood Cottages, tasteful in decor and thoughtful in every detail. We were especially pleased that the owners were attentive to our request to give us the two available units side-by-side. An added bonus for those who may be interested, if up early enough, I caught the sunrise coming up behind the mountain from the doorway, it was outstanding.

The grounds could use some updating. We didn't mind as our stay was short term.

Decent privacy, quiet

Room smelled strongly of bleach. Windows were open upon check in despite it being winter so room took forever to heat from the single baseboard heater. Bathroom was almost too small to turn around in. Mattress was old, in poor condition and the duvet appeared to be 40 years old. Pillows flat. No extra pillows or blankets in the room.
