The hotel has a great historic atmosphere with a grand if somewhat tired lobby. The room was basic but comfortable. The room featured a nice mattress and excellent bedding. There was also a microwave in the room but no kettle unfortunately. The room was very quiet, although there were very few guests staying at the hotel while we were there. This is a very reasonably priced hotel, and while the rooms and common areas are dated, this is still very good value for money in my view.
The heat seemed to be turned off in common spaces and even our bedroom was a bit chilly. As mentioned above the hotel has seen better days so everything seems a bit old and dilapidated.

Loved the way this old hotel has been preserved to look much like it did when it was first built over 100 years ago. The hotel owner was very friendly courteous and professional. My room was comfortable and clean. I will gladly stay again only during the warmer months because I do have an intolerance too cold
Unfortunately with it being an old hotel it was not warm enough but luckily I took a heating pad with me and used that to stay comfortable. Some of the electrical outlets did not work so I had to compromise which is not a problem for me.

The old Townsite is a pleasant location. The hotel has some charm.
Staff were pleasant, but there was nobody at the front desk much of the time. Bed springs were squeaky. No window screen.
