This hotel worked well for us but over priced!

Shuttle service was great - wish it would have had a couple different stops and not just one.

Fantastic property for a relaxing stay to Key West. Fairly central with an amazing shuttle option

Pool, property, location, staff were all fantastic. The room was nice as well, a bit smaller than expected but matched the description and photos. The staff really make this place great.

It was a bit expensive and I didnt like the credit card fee at the end which was unexpected.

Great location, very clean, nice sized room and great pool

Room was clean and good sized, with kitchen sink, microwave and refrigerator. We had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed and that was brought to our room immediately. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach was right across the street which was great. Food at restaurant was good and fairly priced. Pool and hot tub were very nice, with lots of lounges and chairs.

Dinner waiter was rude, telling us they didn't have certain things when we had already had those things there during the day, and didn't want to go back to the kitchen to ask.

Large, comfortable accomodations.

The room was very large with a lot of storage for toiletries and clothing. Shower was large with great water pressure. Plenty of room for two or even a family of 4 to move around with privacy between the living area and bedroom and bathroom. Air conditioning was great as we love sleeping in a cold room, If desired, food can be prepared in the microwave however we did not use. The shuttle to downtown Key West and back was very convenient. We utilized this transportation often. Loved the courtyard which provided lots of privacy.

We would have preferred a room closer to downtown even though we could use the shuttle. It would have been nice to be within walking distance to all the wonderful entertainment and food downtown. The restaurant at the hotel was only adequate. Menu was so-so!

Good stay.

The shuttle into old town was a nice feature as was the free parking and the shuttle to and from the airport. Cleaning staff did a good job servicing our room daily. Location to the beach was excellent. Cookie and popsicle service was a nice touch but they did run out on some days.

The waitstaff at the restaurant was very good but the kitchen was understaffed - or at least that is what I think it was. Wait times for meals could be long and at least one of our meals had to be sent back because it was inedible and not even the correct order (and we aren’t overly picky). The morning coffee service was good but somewhat inconsistent. One day the coffee was very watered down and another day they were struggling to keep them filled. They also had to put out mismatching cups and lids one day. Not a huge deal but made it hard for people coming down to get coffee to bring back to their rooms. The lunch and dinner menu is the same and somewhat limited so if you are staying at the hotel for longer than 2 or 3 days the menu gets boring. There aren’t alot of other food options within walking distance so having a wider selection of menu items or maybe a few added specials would have been nice. If you rent a car then it might be less of an issue because you can drive to restaurants or the grocery store. We did get delivery to the hotel at least once. The property itself was nice and clean. Some of the areas are starting to look dated but nothing looked run down. The overall size of the property is small and they do a good job with the landscaping. The front desk staff was pleasant enough but didn’t really go above and beyond. There were a few kitchen items I needed (paper plates, plastic utensils) and they sent me back to the restaurant which was already struggling to keep up - kitchen staff and waitstaff were both shorthanded and I didn’t want to wait 15 minutes to get a disposable plate. It may be worthwhile keeping a stash of plates and utensils at the front desk. Another time I asked about seating at the restaurant for breakfast and they sent me to the hostess which I knew wasn’t there because I just came from the restaurant and they were short staffed and no hostess.

Overall, we had a great time and would stay again

Great location, right across from the beach. Also liked that it was a little way from the busy part of Key West. Nice to have the free shuttle to all the action!

We had seven people in our room. There was very very little space to store our things, so it was a complete mess in there with all of our stuff laying everywhere. Also, a couple of the shuttle drivers did a great job, but were a little cranky.

Good option for a short 2/3 day trip

🌴 Review: Margaritaville Key West Resort & Marina 🍹 Overall Rating: 3.5/5 Stars (Good for a Short Stay) My recent stay at the Margaritaville Key West Resort & Marina was December. The resort perfectly captures the relaxed Key West vibe while offering excellent amenities and service, but it does have some drawbacks for longer visits. 👍 The Good Good Condition: The hotel was notably clean and well-appointed. Our rooms were comfortable and everything felt fresh and well-maintained although the bed squeeked when you rolled over. The staff were really pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. Every interaction was friendly and efficient. Pleasant Pool Area: The pool is fairly small, but it was perfectly big enough to splash around! The pool area was a clean and pleasant spot to relax. Convenient Transportation: Getting around was easy. The resort offers a great perk: a shuttle bus to take you downtown on the hour every hour until around 11 PM. It's also easy to grab an Uber. If you are looking for a clean, friendly, and well-located resort this a pricy but good option.

👎 Areas for Improvement Best for Short Trips: In my opinion, the hotel is designed for a two or three-night stay. We stayed for a week and were honestly ready to leave after three, as it began to feel a little limiting. High Costs for Essentials: The hotel itself is very expensive for food and drinks, and unfortunately, there are not a lot of dining options close by as an alternative. Beach Access: There is a beach opposite, however, you have to pay quite a lot for the use of beach chairs and umbrellas, which are not included with the hotel stay.

Too far away from restaurants and shops.

A beach was across the street. The texts with updates about arrival information and activities were a nice personal touch.

Toilet in the room did not work. Had a couple of cockroaches in the bathroom. Restaurant was expensive and slow. Not very good service. When checking out they never asked how our stay was. The shuttle bus driver into town was not very friendly. When topping after every trip, to and from town, the bus driver never thanked us.

Terribly long walk from elevator to our room (201) Stairs were not an option with a fairly recent knee replacement. Could not get the thermostat below 70 at night. Had to keep blinds closed the entire time we were there in an attempt to keep the room cool at night. 50 yr old women will get where I’m coming from ;-)

Everything was good except the billing conflict.

All facilities as expected.

I originally booked 2 rooms for 3 nights, but had to change my booking to 2 rooms for 2 nights because of family flight arrangements. I have confirmation of this change. However, the hotel indicated they were not informed of the change so they charged me for the extra night. I need to get this refunded from Booking.com. Not clear facilities or nearby marina arrangement to accompdate boat trailer The room smelled terrible like dirty mopper and kichennette did mot have any plates glasses or cluttery so it was useless to cook or eat. Only a minifridge and a microwave not what the pictures of a suite was showing on internet

Nice place but shady staff

It’s very beach and all rooms surround the pool . We got an upgrade to a suite I think, there was a separate living room and kitchenette . Bathroom was spacious and beautiful. The pool was great! Very good vibe with lots of floats and a hot water pool. We were served ice creams and smoothies throughout the day

The first thing was how we were welcomed at reception. She was not very friendly and it did set the tone for the rest of our days there. Also there was a waiter who was in a hurry changing shifts and wanted us to sign the bill and obviously receive a tip. but we had just been served our food and had not even taken a bite. So he came back in filled out the receipt himself, under tip he wrote : ‘walked away’. But clearly we hadn’t and it turned out the pizza was a box pizza not a fresh one. In het eens we got our money back but we felt like the staff was just non honest and everything was a little shady. If you did not tip right away they were offended. On the other hand we tipped some restaurant staff and the were over the moon. Also there are leguans running around the pool. That was a bit funny

The location was nice

The room had ants everywhere. I booked with affirm but because they only processed one night at booking at check in they required the card to be available for check in so they cancelled my reservation and I had to pay with another card. The food in the restaurant was terrible. I ordered a steak and it was overcooked dry and no flavor. The ac was not cooling in the room so it was hot the whole weekend. Even though a complaint was submitted about the ant and ac they did not offer to change my room they just said that is the Florida Keys for you.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located to the airport. The staff was kind and courteous. The beds were comfortable.

There was only one shower for two bedrooms. The blackout blinds had holes in them. We ran out of toilet paper and the cleaning crew didn't replace it. The pool is too small for the number of people in the pool.

A nice, relaxing stay in the keys.

The room was nice and clean (enough) but its age is beginning to show. The property’s layout is well thought out and allows guests to bypass the lobby and the restaurant to go straight to the room when returning from the pool. The pool is a little small for a property of this size but it was kept clean. We were able to get chairs at the pool likely because the property was not fully booked. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but the covered patio is nice and big with plenty of seating. The easy going staff Is probably the best thing.

My wife found a large dead roach in the room and we looked but it seems that was the only one.

Horrible dirty room. Not a clean as advertise hotel.

The room was discussing. When I checked in I was given a handicap room which I did not ask for. I asked if there were any other rooms and was told no. I even ask if I could pay for an upgraded room and agin I was told they did not have any. I went ahead and accepted the room. Once we go into the room we felt the AC was not working neither was the TV. The room also looked dirty. Since we were tired and hungry we put out luggage in the room and went downstairs to eat. Once we came back i. The room the AC still was not work and we then found a few cockroaches crawling. Since we were tired from our 6 hour drive and there were no other trim available we stayed the night and packed up the next morning. When I went to check out I was referred to the check out manager and he stayed he had a different room He could give us since he stated they just went through a storm and that is what some of the rooms were the way they were. I declined since I had already packed up and I did not find the rat of the hotel clean. We only stayed one night. I will never rent a room in this hotel ever again.

We had an unforgettable stay at Margaritaville Beach House

We had an amazing stay at Margaritaville Beach House in Key West! The room was spotless, spacious, and had island charm that made it feel like vacation the second we walked in. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was clean and spacious. The pool area? So Fun. Plenty of lounge chairs, palm trees swaying, and great music playing in the background. It had such a fun, laid-back vibe—perfect for relaxing with a drink or cooling off after a hot day exploring. The shuttle service was a game-changer! Super convenient, always on time. It made getting to Old Town and back a total breeze without worrying about parking, traffic or having a DD if you have a few toooo many. We ended up booking an extra night because we weren't ready to leave. If you’re looking for a place that is all inclusive, comfort, fun, and island style, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

Just a quick suggestion: the rooms really needs more hooks. There were only two hooks in the bathroom for five people, which wasn’t nearly enough for towels, wet swimsuits, or clothes. Also, there’s plenty of space to add small dressers or shelving so guests can actually unpack. A few simple additions would make the room way more functional for groups or longer stays.

Rooms had plenty of room. Pool was great. Drinks from the bar were yummy! We loved the iguanas that hung out by the pool. Key West itself is gross. If we ever find ourselves back there, we’d be happy to just hang out on the property.
