Fairmont Chateau Whistler

Good location. Room was nice. Having free water in the room was a nice added touch

View from room was very average. Overlooking not very well maintained rooftops of the hotel. For the price I paid I feel we should have had a better room. Or at least do something with the roofs that you view so it’s not a eye sore

Overall we had a wonderful experience and the location is superb. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.

2 small issues Our room could have been cleaned better . Perhaps cleaning staff were new or in a rush . Pool area very crowded and a little run down .We all sit way too close to each other . Feel like you are on a cruise ship . I believe they are going to be doing upgrades which they need

Some of the Australian valets were extremely rude and disinterested, leaving a bad taste on check out

The room and location was good…the town was in walking distance.

When we checked in we were charged for car parking and another charge to enable us to get a shuttle bus into whistler. We explained to the receptionist that we did not want to pay the extra charge for the shuttle bus we were happy to walk into town and she told us that we had too and the cost for this helps with the upkeep of the hotel…all these hidden extras at check in were not a good start to our stay at the Fairmont Whistler. When we checked out we had a different receptionist and she asked us if we enjoyed our stay…we told her that we were not at all happy with the hidden extras at check in and it was a bad start to our stay at the Fairmont Whistler…she said that she was very sorry and told us that we did not have to pay this extra money for the shuttle bus as it was already included in the price we had paid for our room…and she refunded the money to us.
