We truly loved this place, and would book again in a heartbeat. Pierre met us upon arrival and oriented us to everything

Parking on the narrow street was a bit trying but really no big deal

We loved Mary who was always there to answer any questions but never intruded.

There was plenty of room. The bathroom was huge and equipped with full size hair dryer and toiletries The addition of a little kitchen was a bonus and coffee and tea provided. The location was incredible...a very short walk to the Amboise Chateau and plenty of good cafes. We didn't use our car but once! We also walked to Clos de Luce...a must if you are here!

Cycling the Loire, this stop was an oasis of comfort and kindness.

The organisation was impeccable. The welcome was friendly. The rooms were comfortable and expansive. The storage for our bikes was perfect. The checkout was simple and effective.

Charming and modern space in Amboise

Spacious room with all modern fittings. Comfortable bed, clean, modern bathroom with large shower. Welcoming host, who takes time to meet you on arrival and talk to you. This House is on a small island off the main bridge in Amboise. An enchanting little mini village with great walls and access to the river if you are so inclined. It was about a 10min walk from the station for us. You have access to a common kitchen with a nice coffee machine and pods, tea etc is supplied. We had a great stay here.

Not so much a dislike, but a warning about the confined stairway. A bit hard to navigate with large bags, or some immobility issues. Was fine for us though

Villa Mary provides a quiet, pretty, and comfortable stay, right outside the main tourist area, which makes it peaceful.

Clean and quiet room, friendly and helpful owner. I liked being right outside of the main tourist area but it was still very accessible. I felt like I was in a more authentic area with the ability to be in the tourist areas easily. Very walkable property, comfortable bed and great bathroom. It was great to have coffee provided as well and a refrigerator to access.

Another fan would have been helpful, as I was there at a very hot time. I liked that a fan was provided in the room, but air flow on the floor as a whole could have been better - maybe having a fan in the kitchen area could help?

It was so comfortable and didn't have the feel of a just being in another hotel room.

We had the use of a kitchen shared with one other unit. Loved that we could sit down and have coffee and breakfast without having to dress to go to a cafe.

Lovely place to stay in Amboise!

We loved staying at Villa Mary! The location was perfect access to the train station and Amboise. Easy 10 min. walk to the city center over the bridge. Nice welcome from Mary when we arrived. The bedroom and bath were beautifully updated. The shared kitchen worked well for us with coffee, tea, and a refrigerator. We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant at the end of the street with an incredible view of the Chateau d'Amboise which is lit up at night. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Mary for a lovely stay!

5 days in Amboise

The apartment was at a short distance from Amboise center, the bed was comfortable; the bathroom was large with a good shower, the area was safe.

Not having A/C was important for us since nights were hot. You need to keep your windows close because there is no privacy from the building across the street. Having A/C would have eliminated this problem.

Nice comfortable stay in Amboise!

We loved our stay at Villa Mary! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The villa is well situated and there are two restaurants on the same street and many more within walking distance just across the bridge. The house is beautifully decorated. Mary is so nice and helpful offering suggestions of things to do and good restaurants. Parking was easy, we found a spot right in front of the house and left our car there the whole time of our stay. We definitely recommend staying here and if we are in the area we would definitely stay here again!

Charming Villa Mary

The lady owner is a super host, very kind and available. The location is fantastic, on the island up to 10 min easy walk to the castle. Everything is spotless clean. The room is large, elegant designed. The bed is huge and super comfortable. Own great bathroom, tv, well equipped kitchen shared with another room. We enjoyed very much our stay, just regret it was for only one night. Easy free and safe parking on the street in front of the house. We definitely recommend it. Thank you Mrs. Mary

We had a large, clean room in an excellent location. We liked that this is a small business owner dedicated to providing excellent service. The host was helpful and friendly and also accommodated our special requests.

We had a wonderful time in Amboise and our stay at Villa Mary added to it.

Villa Mary is close to the train station and to the tourist attractions. Although Mary wasn’t there her son Pierre Francois was and he was so helpful.

This is not something we disliked but something to be aware of. It was our first time in a B&B so we were more cognizant that any noise we made could disturb others.

The location is brilliant, close to amenities, town center, restaurants and sights. Short walk to station. The bedroom was very comfortable and bathroom excellent. Facilities and toiletries in room excellent. Marie was very pleasant and helpful.

We did not appreciate from the description that the kitchen was shared with other bedrooms. Particularly as we stayed a week and there were different guests in the other bedroom most days. In the Villa Mary Description: 'The units come with parquet floors and feature a fully equipped kitchen' and again as part of the room description 'In your 'private' kitchen:' I subsequently note in Facilities it says Shared Kitchen but this should be made clear in the Room description.
