Location was great with restaurants, supermarket and transport into central Essen nearby. The property had everything you needed for short stay.

It would have been great to let us know we would be on fourth floor with no lift as this was challenging for us. And we would have asked for lower floor if we had known. Also the buzzing of the intercom for the building everyday at 5am for 15 mins, which we could hear from 4th floor was disturbed our sleep daily.

It was a nice homely place. Clean and the location was great to me. Restaurants cafes and bakeries are just as you step outside.

The pillows can do better.

Centrally located

No lift hence difficult to carry suitcases up to the 5 th floor, the electric stove did not work and no one to contact at the property

The location is good easy walking distance to the Messe. A few restaurants in the same street as well a cafes and a bakery and a supermarket. The bed is good.

The procedure with the entrance code is bonkers. The highlights code is not valid, until you realise that you might user the other provided code which is not highlighted.. The whole procedure takes a bit as there are freeze times involved when you try too many times the wrong code. I still don't understand why there's a second code (highlighted!!!) is actually mentioned. We had friends staying there too, they experienced the same an hour before us. Without that one it would be straight forward. Definitely room for improvement. The basic apartment is very basic. Also I hink the cleaning rate at 75 Euros for two nights is high. 'Glad' the cleaning lady left her vacuum cleaner already in the room... Not a very nice look.
