No5 Ayr Beach - Coorie Doon Stays

The hosts were there to meet us and the apartment was clean and tidy. There was tea and coffee provided and a shop downstairs for basic essentials. The location was good for Ayr beach and harbour - it was also just a short walk to the town.

We expected a balcony but in fact it was just a window with a false balcony - in fairness it wasn't advertised with one! The door entry system was unreliable and there was only one set of keys.

Cleanliness

We had a very pleasant stay in this apartment. It was clean, tidy, nicely decorated, nicely furnished, comfortable and well equipped. Nice fluffy white towels. The location was ideally placed for access to the beach and the town. Ayr itself is well placed for exploring the beautiful Ayrshire coast, both north and south. Although both my wife and myself were originally from this area and enjoyed nostalgia trips to our teen and twenties haunts we did learn a bit more about the history of Ayr and the Fort that we didn't know before.

I can't say we didn't like it but to have a view of the wonderful sunsets from the apartment would have made it extra special. As it was, we still enjoyed the sunsets but had to view them from the shore (not far away)
