Excellent location, close to centre but quiet & peaceful

Comfortable bedroom. Easy access to Town Centre and also near open air swimming pool and a river.

Kitchen difficult to move in for tall people. But there are plenty of cafes and restaurants available locally.

Lovely property , we had all the rooms with the two 'kitchenette' type areas. Nice bathrooms. The owner lives downstairs so you are using the same front door. The parking space that you can request to book is ok but not for the faint hearted as the location is on a hill and the parking space is between two walls so not a massive amount of space. Host was great at responding to messages. Rooms were comfortable too.

Location - close to High Street. Although the accommodation was not particularly close to the places I wanted to go, Lewes is a compact town, so one can walk it. Unfortunately, no matter which direction you go in Lewes, you will be heading up hill; I think the town was designed by MC Escher! Facilities - kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kettle and table. Books and DVDs. I couldn't fault the cleanliness. The décor was boho. There were several chairs, surfaces and lighting options in the room. Quiet.

The bed was extremely hard and I really struggled to sleep. In the end I slept on top of the duvet; two duvets would have solved the dilemma. I would have enjoyed the stay far more (perhaps 8/10) if I had been able to sleep. I accessed the key using a code. This was acceptable, but it seemed a little "off" that the proprietor didn't meet me. I had told her my ETA several times. The online information promised conditioner, but there was none, so I couldn't wash my hair (there were loads of other potions, though). I would have brought my own if conditioner had not been specifically stated as being provided. I could have bought some in Lewes, but it would have been more stuff to carry home. The only sink was very small and I couldn't get my water bottle under the tap, so had to fill it using a cup. This would likely also be the case for those trying to fill the kettle. The TV needed retuning, as the reception was not very good.
