Tucked into a lush, wooded setting, this elevated cabin offers a relaxing atmosphere for guests looking to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy time away from the bustle of city life.
Inside, you`ll find:
● A comfortable bedroom with inviting furnishings
● A welcoming living area with sofa, TV, and natural light
● A full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave, and cooking essentials
● A dining area overlooking the greenery
● A full bathroom with tub/shower combination
● A washer and dryer for added convenience
Outdoor Living:

Guests enjoy exclusive access to the entire cabin, including the bedroom, bathroom, living room, full kitchen, dining area, laundry facilities, and elevated outdoor deck.
On-site parking is available in the designated grassy area.
Please note that the cabin is elevated and requires climbing exterior stairs to enter.

- Getting Around
A personal vehicle is strongly recommended when staying at The Bayou Sanctuary.
The cabin is located in a more rural setting, where restaurants, shopping, and attractions generally require driving. Public transportation and rideshare availability may be limited.
Guests should plan transportation and grocery stops accordingly, especially when arriving in the evening.
- Other Things to Note
● Parking: Complimentary on-site parking is available in the designated grassy area. Please avoid parking outside the designated space.
● Elevated Cabin: The cabin is raised above ground level and accessed by an exterior staircase. There is no step-free entrance.
● Neighboring Property: An older, visibly deteriorated structure is located on the neighboring property. Although the cabin offers a comfortable retreat surrounded by greenery, it is not completely isolated from nearby buildings.
● Natural Surroundings: The property is located in a wooded Louisiana setting where insects, wildlife, and other elements of nature may be present.
● Transportation: A personal vehicle is strongly recommended. Public transportation and rideshare availability may be limited in the surrounding area.
● Outdoor Deck: Please use caution on the elevated deck and stairs, especially during wet weather.
House Rules: 1. We are legally limited to the posted maximum occupancy by local law. For all guests over the maximum limit there will be a $100 per person per night fine. Parties of any kind are illegal per local law. Any guest holding a party will be fined $1,500 for non-compliance with local laws. Exterior cameras with active recording is present at the property to verify these laws are not broken.
2. The booking guest must send a copy of a government issued ID upon booking.
3. Quiet hours 10PM - 8AM. Please remain cognizant and respectful of our neighbors.
4. If you would like early check-in or late checkout, please inquire the day before your stay, and we will let you know if it is possible. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $100 charge for each hour after 11am. If the space is still occupied after this time without a prearranged late checkout, our team will need to enter the property to assist with removing your belongings. If you are not at the property, our our team will gather your items and store them at our office and there will be a $200 fee to retrieve them.
5. Smoking in the unit will result in a $500 Fee to remove the smoke odor from the unit and all upholstery. If the space is left excessively dirty $100 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids including feces will result in a charge of $250. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $500. Do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces. Please use our black makeup towels to remove makeup to avoid damaging white linens/towels. 6. Due to local regulations and Airbnb policy prohibiting parties, `Locals` will be required to pay a $250 refundable deposit for their stay. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 50 miles of New Orleans.
7. Please do not ship packages to yourself as we are not able to receive them at the unit and therefore cannot be responsible for them. We will not be responsible for them in the event they get lost, and will not be responsible for returning them if they are found after your departure.
8. For any items left behind, there will be a $25 fee plus the actual cost of shipping to have it shipped back to you.
9. There is a 500$ minimum fee for commercial photography and filming on the property. Certificates of Insurance for all vendors must also be submitted.
10. While pets are allowed at this listing, they are limited to 3 pets max. unless authorized prior to booking. Pets must be kenneled when left alone if they are not house trained, but should not disturb neighbors. Guests must clean up after pets outside. Pets should not be allowed on beds or furniture.
