About this house rental
Welcome to our charming vacation home nestled in the heart of Matlacha, Florida – the artsiest fishing town in the Sunshine State located 45 minutes from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW).
Our Hemingway-esque home features second floor living with two bedrooms and one bath, comfortably accommodating up to six guests. For larger groups, there's an option to expand your stay to our ground-floor bunk room with a 3/4 bath, accommodating an additional four guests.

“Salty Bones” boasts one bedroom with a king size bed, one bedroom with two twin size beds, and a queen pull out sofa in the living room. For larger groups, the ground floor offers an additional 10x14 bedroom with two full trundle beds and a bathroom with shower.
Enjoy picturesque sunrises and sunsets from the newly renovated 2nd floor deck, or sit and watch the local catch of the day being brought in to the boat ramp directly across from the ground floor patio.
Guests have access to the entire second floor living space, as well as all of the outside living space. For an additional fee, guests can add on the bunk room on the ground floor for an additional $150 per night.
We aim to make your trip to Matlacha as stress free as possible and we have all the angles covered. There is a 2016 Scout 210 XSF Sport fishing boat on property with less than 200 hours that can be rented separately daily, with or without a captain. Have your own boat? Bring it along and store it on our second lift. Also, if you’re flying in and will need a rental vehicle, we offer 2 options: a 6-seater 2020 BMW x7 with 50,000 miles and a 5-seater 2024 Tesla Model Y with less than 1000 miles that can also be delivered to the airport and rented daily. From the moment we booked communication was simple and efficient with the owner, Matt. He went above and beyond to make sure we have everything we needed in the rental and information about the areas. The pictures do not do this rental justice, The rental is super well appointed and very comfy!! The real star is the wraparound porch with stunning views! Would highly recommend!!!

Our family had the most incredible stay at Salty Bones this Memorial Day weekend! The location was absolutely perfect, right on the water with great views from the deck. The home was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with all the amenities we could ask for. Matlacha had such a laid-back vibe, and the people were so friendly. I started my mornings with a cup of coffee on the deck, watching the boats head out from the park across the canal. The convenience of the boat ramp at the park make it easy you are bringing a boat. Instead of taking our boat, we rented the boat at the property, Salty Bones II, which is a 21-foot center console that was comfortable, rode well, and had plenty of storage. From the home, we were in the channel in under 5 minutes. The central location allowed for easy trips to Cayo Costa, the sandbar at Boca Grande, and lunch at Cabbage Key. Being within walking distance to shops and restaurants was a major plus. Our stay at Salty Bones was truly unforgettable, and we can't wait to return for another visit. Thank you for providing us with the perfect Memorial Day weekend getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Salty Bones! The host happened to be there when we arrived. It was so nice to meet him in person. He made sure we had everything we needed and was available by phone in case something came up. The newly renovated house was well supplied with kitchen equipment and appliances, plenty of bathroom towels, comfortable beds & bedding, and even a water cooler. But the best amenity was the outside deck with all new furniture and the best view anyone could ask for. We loved the early morning sunrises on the deck while watching the boats go out for the day. All you need to bring are your vacation clothes and everything else is there in the house at your disposal. Couldn't have dreamed of a better place to stay!
