2 min to the lake - Vacation rental in the Estergebirge with a balcony and mountain views in Seehausen on Staffelsee

This spacious vacation apartment, measuring approximately 74 m², is located on the first floor of our vacation home “Zum Schweizer” and is situated in a quiet part of Seehausen’s historic town center. It’s only about 300 meters—or a two-minute walk—to Staffelsee and the boat dock. The apartment is particularly well-suited for couples and families with up to two children. The living room, which is about 28 m² in size, offers plenty of space to relax. It features a corner sofa, a pool table, and a sleeper sofa for two people. When occupied by two guests, the sleeper sofa can remain unused, leaving the entire living area—including the sofa and pool table—available for use. For families, the sofa bed can be used as an additional sleeping space. A crib can also be set up. The separate bedroom features a 180-cm-wide double bed with two 90-cm-wide mattresses and its own TV. Another TV is located in the living room. The separate kitchen offers a cozy dining area with a corner bench and two chairs. Amenities include a refrigerator, oven, stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, filter coffee maker, Nespresso capsule machine, electric kettle, and toaster.

A special highlight is the large south/west-facing balcony with a view of the Ester Mountains and the Heimgarten. The balcony features a table and four chairs, a hanging chair, and a lounge chair. Thanks to its proximity to the kitchen, you can easily enjoy breakfast or dinner outdoors via the serving hatch.
The bathroom has a shower, bathtub, toilet, sink, and hair dryer. A washing machine is located right in the apartment. Wi-Fi and a private parking space at the house are included. Bed linens and towels are provided as a starter set. A travel crib and a high chair can be provided upon request.

Pets are not allowed. Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment; smoking is allowed outdoors or on the balcony.

The vacation rental is located right in the historic center of Seehausen on Lake Staffelsee. Here you’ll enjoy a quiet, village-like atmosphere, surrounded by old farmhouses, with Lake Staffelsee practically on your doorstep. It’s about a two-minute walk to the lake and the boat dock. There, you can take tours of Staffelsee or rent boats. Right at the boat dock is the Café Fischerstüberl, which has a terrace and a beautiful view of the lake. A small village store is right next door, and the nearest bakery is about 50 meters away (not open every day). The Gasthaus Stern and the Restaurant al Lago are also within easy walking distance and accessible even with a stroller. The proximity to Murnau is particularly appealing. In just a few minutes, you can reach numerous restaurants, cafés, shops, and cultural attractions such as the Castle Museum and the Münterhaus. There’s also a movie theater and numerous events throughout the year. Froschhauser See and Riegsee are also within easy reach. Other great destinations for day trips include Walchensee, Kochelsee, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and Eibsee. Hiking trails and mountain tours are just a short drive away from Ohlstadt or Bad Kohlgrub, for example.

You can easily explore the surrounding area even without a car. The electronic guest card allows for free use of regular bus routes in the Blaues Land region as well as certain train connections in the area. In addition, the Blaues Land Bus—a convenient on-demand bus service (not included with the guest card)—is available.
