The Space:

The living room sets the tone for the whole property. It opens onto a balcony, and it comes with a genuine sense of personality, with the smart TV that turns a quiet night in into something worth staying home for. The room works just as well for slow mornings as it does for lively evenings with company.



The kitchen is fully equipped, with both espresso and filter coffee makers for however you like to start the day, a toaster, a microwave, and everything else you might need during your stay. The dining table sits close by, so meals flow naturally from cooking to conversation.



Both bedrooms come with a double bed, air conditioning and direct access to a balcony. The bathroom features a bathtub for proper end of day soaks, with fresh towels, linens, and a full set of toiletries provided. A washing machine means you can pack light and stay longer, and an iron and hair dryer round out the practical comforts, along with a safe for your valuables.

The property sits in the centre of Pyrgos, the capital of the Ilia region, a working Greek town in the western Peloponnese where neoclassical buildings, churches, and the Latsio Municipal Mansion give the streets real character. Everyday life is effortless here, with well stocked supermarkets, conveniently located bakeries, cafes, and squares all within a short walk, which makes the town a natural base for guests who want authentic Greece alongside easy access to coast and countryside.



The beaches of the Ionian are minutes away by car. Leventochori, around 10 km away, is a long stretch of sand with umbrellas, sun loungers, showers, and wooden walkways down to the water. The shores of Katakolo, around 13 km away, combine sand and pebble coves with warm, shallow water that suits families, including Agios Andreas with its clear water and waterfront cafes. Skafidia, about 14 km northwest, is considered one of the loveliest beaches in the area, wilder in feel with golden sand. Further north, about 20 km away, Kourouta is a Blue Flag sandy beach known for its clean blue water and its lively beach bars.



For nature, the Alfeios river valley opens just south of town, while the lake, thermal springs, and pine covered dunes of Kaiafas lie about 27 km down the coast, and the oak forest plateau of Foloi, around 35 km east, offers shaded walking trails.



History is everywhere. The Archaeological Museum of Pyrgos is in town itself, the Museum of Ancient Greek Technology and the hilltop remains of Pontikokastro castle sit by Katakolo about 13 km away, Ancient Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games and a UNESCO site, is 19 km east, and the medieval castle of Chlemoutsi stands about 43 km north.

The nearest port is Katakolo, around 13 km away, where cruise ships from across the Adriatic call throughout the season, and the port of Kyllini, roughly 45 km north, offers daily ferry connections to Zakynthos and Kefalonia for island day trips. The KTEL bus station in Pyrgos runs frequent routes across the region and to Athens, and it sits within a short walk of the apartment. A car lets you make the most of the region, opening up the full sweep of Ilia's beaches, Ancient Olympia, and the mountain villages inland, and with free parking on the premises you can come and go as you please.
