About this house rental
Each bedroom has two single beds that can be converted into one king-size bed, and the open-concept living room features a large sleeper sofa.
Electricity is generated by a photovoltaic system. The sun provides hot water, and the water supply is ensured by large rainwater and wellwater cisterns that undergo multi-stage filtration. In the toilet, urine and feces are separated, treated, composted, and returned to the natural cycle. During the colder and wetter seasons, a cozy wood-burning stove is available to comfortably heat the entire house. Wastewater from the house (shower, sink, etc.) is routed through a constructed wetland and used in the garden. Therefore, it is important to use only 100% biodegradable shampoos. All windows are equipped with mosquito screens. There is no air conditioning! Fans are available.
Near the authentic towns of Krestena and Zacharo on the Peloponnese, overlooking the Ionian Sea. Nestled among olive groves on the slopes of Lapithas, the house is accessible from the main road via approximately 2.5 km of unpaved roads. It’s helpful if you have a car with some ground clearance.
