Maison Joséphine

Absolutely beautiful property with really unique and exquisite decor and lighting. The garden was very large and had a barbecue, lots of outdoor seating, an outdoor table and outdoor lighting. There was a really big conservatory with comfortable sofas and superb lighting. Truly a great space to hang out. The kitchen was hands down the best equipped kitchen I have ever stayed in. Quality oven, microwave, hobs, cookware, pristine non stick pans, sharp cooking knives and excellent cutlery. If you are looking to do your own cooking, this is the best place to do so. It also had a very large dining table so, just amazing for big families. The beds were large and comfortable, and the bathrooms had fantastic walk in showers that could get very hot if you wanted. All four bedrooms were of decent size and had wonderful double beds. The property was spotlessly clean. The location is great, 1 min walk to a supermarket, restaurants and a boulangerie. There is ample parking close by. And given its so close to a min road, it is so quiet and peaceful inside the house. Entrance was via a key code and was very very easy.

The road where the entrance to the house looked like a slightly run down back alley. It made entering the house all the more impressive though! A hidden away gem. There is a small step in the kitchen, which pretty much everyone tripped over at some point. And the doorway to the second half of the property is really low, I think everyone over 1m70 hit their heads accidentally. I'm not sure if anything can be done about that. One day, we had really heavy rain, and the electrics failed in the house. I phoned the host, who answered immediately , and they had an electrician over within 30 minutes (!) to fix it. The hosts also reserved a free bottle of wine at the local bar for us to apologise. So we felt really looked after, a really good response! The only other issue was in October being near a river, was the number of mosquitoes! I got nearly eaten alive outside!
