Getting Around
Daisy Chain is within easy reach of Clacton-on-Sea railway station, with direct trains to London Liverpool Street — handy whether you're arriving by train or planning a day trip into the city. Everything else is on your doorstep too: restaurants, cafés and pubs are all within easy walking distance, along with the seafront itself.
What's Nearby
Clacton-on-Sea is a classic seaside resort with something for everyone — a pier with ice cream and hot doughnuts, indoor soft play, a cinema, crazy golf, bingo, bowling, a penny arcade and funfairs. Paddleboarding has taken off along the coast, and beach hut hire is available (pre-booking recommended). The town is well served for shopping of all kinds.
Venture a little further and you'll find:
Manningtree — stunning rural walks
Holland-on-Sea — an open clifftop field right by the sea, popular for kite flying
Nearby vineyards, breweries and petting farms
Colchester — England's oldest recorded town, around 35 minutes away by train or car, with shopping, restaurants, a zoo and plenty more to explore
Clacton also hosts some brilliant annual events: an air show every August, a model railway exhibition in October, and free firework displays on the seafront in August and November.
Good to Know
We're unable to accommodate stag or hen parties, and parties/events are not permitted at the property.
Pets are welcome for an additional fee. They must stay on the ground floor (baby gates are fitted for this purpose) and are not permitted on furniture or soft furnishings.
Daisy Chain sits in a quiet residential area with close neighbours — we kindly ask guests to avoid playing music in the garden, so everyone can enjoy a peaceful stay.
