About this cottage rental
This lovely cottage is surrounded by rolling fields and offers a beautiful view over the water meadows where the River Tat joins the River Wensum. This is a great place for watching wildlife including deer and wild birds. Just a couple of miles away is the thriving traditional market town of Fakenham. Home of the famous Fakenham Raccourse and the Thursford Show, this delightful town has a choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as a cinema, the Corn Hall and flea market, as well as the popular Thursday auction and market which originated in 1250. You can visit the breath-taking Pensthorpe Natural Park or the Holkham Estate, and the stunning northern coast of Norfolk is within easy reach.
On entering this delightful semi-detached cottage you will find yourself in the comfortable and welcoming lounge. With plenty of comfy seating, TV/DVD, feature fireplace and a selection of books and games, this is an ideal space to relax in. Moving into the pretty kitchen/diner, you will find a delightful dining area set for five guests, and the kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven with extractor, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a fridge with an ice compartment. Exploring this charming property further you will find a conservatory/sunroom which runs the length of the cottage and looks out over the back garden. There is also a ground-floor WC. Heading up the steep cottage style stairs to the first floor, you will find two cosy bedrooms: there’s a double room which offers stunning countryside views, and a twin room which also has fantastic views, both with plenty of storage space. You will also find a bathroom complete with a shower over the P-shaped bath and a WC.
Stepping outside you will find a small fully enclosed front garden with a lawn and a large enclosed gravel driveway. To the rear there’s a large enclosed garden which is mainly lawn and has plenty of space for children to play. There’s a patio area located near the sun room which has garden furniture and is an ideal space to relax in and dine al fresco. Off-road parking is available for two cars.
