Further afield, there are a whole host of breathtaking destinations to explore. Set off for a hike in the North Pennines (10 miles), lose yourself in the Lake District National Park (13 miles), or take a stroll along one of the beaches on the Solway Coast (13 miles). If you’re feeling particularly romantic, head to Gretna Green (10 miles) to visit the famous Old Blacksmith’s Shop and treat yourself to a dram of whisky.
Step through the shared entrance into the elegant apartment building and climb the stairs to your second floor apartment. Inside, you’ll find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with an exposed brick feature wall and a characterful sloped ceiling.
