Alternatively, explore the Roman Frontier Gallery at the Tullie House Museum (0.5 miles), or head to the banks of the River Eden (0.5 miles) to share a picnic lunch. Further afield, set off to explore Birdoswald Roman Fort (16 miles) to see the longest continuous stretch of Hadrian's Wall; or head to Gretna Green (10 miles) to visit the famous Old Blacksmith’s Shop.
Step inside your two-story, ground-floor apartment and head down the corridor. Pass the stairs to your right, and you’ll find a smart shower room, followed by a spacious living room.
