About this cottage rental
Take a break with your loved one to this characterful single-storey cottage with a flame-effect electric fire, and enjoy the peaceful nature of this farmland location. Find adventure on the Severn Way footpath, accessible less than a mile from your holiday home, which follows the river from source to sea over mountainous landscapes, with a plethora of picturesque picnic spots along the way.
The lounge is full of charm, with a wooden-clad ceiling and exposed beams creating a grand display, and two leather sofas, a TV and a flame-effect electric fire offering a place to kick back and relax. Retaining many of its original farm-building features, the aesthetic continues into the kitchen where you’ll find a natural wood dining table seating four. At bedtime, sprawl out on the sumptuous king-size bed to watch a film, or sink into slumber. In the morning, a door leading directly into the garden offers a perfect spot for your morning coffee with a patio table and chairs. The owner also welcomes you to explore the grounds when you wish to stretch your legs. In addition, the site has a number of on-site activities including a games room with a table tennis table and pool table for a little friendly competition. There are three complimentary fishing pools available for all staying guests.
Venture out for a romantic wander around Newton (6 miles) to explore the small selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, or enjoy an evening at the local cinema. Marvel at the magnificent gardens at Powis Castle and stop off in the tearoom for a bite to eat, or spend a day at Pwll Penarth Nature Reserve to soak up the tranquil environment and keep your eyes peeled for rare birds.
