About this apartment rental
Let the sunrise wake you up. From this ground-floor studio's private lanai in the Hawaii Building, you can watch morning light come up over the ocean before walking a few paces to the beach. Sleeping up to four, the space has central air conditioning, a kitchenette with a sink, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker, plus a simple setup for beach snacks and easy mornings. Spend the afternoon at Islander on the Beach's beachside pool and hot tub, enjoy a drink at the tiki bar, or use the shared grilling area for an open-air dinner. Coconut Marketplace is within walking distance for meals, shopping, and supplies. The Wailua River and East Side waterfalls make an easy outing when you want to explore beyond the shore. It is a lovely Kauai base for a couple or small family who wants that first glimpse of the Pacific built into every day.
The Space:
The ground-floor studio opens to a private lanai with ocean and sunrise views, giving the room a real connection to the East Side shoreline. Central air conditioning keeps it cool, and the kitchenette includes a sink, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker for easy breakfasts. With a TV and sleeping space for four, it is a practical retreat between beach and pool time.
Guest Access:
Guests at Islander on the Beach have access to the shared outdoor pool, hot tub, BBQ grill area, and beach access. The resort grounds provide easy outdoor space to relax between beach outings.
The Neighborhood:
Kapaa's East Side has a slower, more local rhythm than the large resort areas, with plenty to do close by. Coconut Marketplace is an easy walk for coffee, casual dining, shops, and groceries, while the nearby Ke Ala Hele Makalae path is a favorite for an oceanfront walk or bike ride. The Wailua River is close for kayaking, and Opaekaa Falls is an easy drive inland. Kapaa town adds food trucks, bakeries, and small shops. It is a central launch point for reaching the North Shore one day and Lihue the next.
Getting Around:
Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.
Other Things to Note:
