Mountain View Chalet near Lauterbrunnen and Parking

The location was fabulous. It was so nice to wake up with a view of the Alps. As Isenfluh is a tiny village on a mountain, it was dark and quiet at night with only the sound of cicadas singing. It was wonderful to sit on the porch for our meals and in the evening. The chalet was quite clean and the kitchen had everything one could want for cooking. We liked the electric oven as everything cooked so fast. We met the owners who were lovely and they went out of their way to greet us when we arrived. They were staying in the flat downstairs for part of our stay. Then their cousins arrived who stayed in the flat above us. The management company, Michael and Michelle (M&M) always answer messages and questions within two to three minutes at any time of the day or night. The chalet was good value for money.

One needs a car to stay here as the bus only runs once an hour if that. There is parking in front. The drive to the top of the mountain is hairy. The alpine roads are narrow and there is a long curved tunnel through the mountain that anyone would assume is one-way only, but it's actually a two-way road; there are small lay-bys in the tunnel here and there. It's a challenging drive, although well worth it to stay in such a lovely place. Although the owners were lovely, we had a few issues with the management company.
