About this house rental
Road Access: We are located in a very private, gated community. The last 2 miles to the cabin is a slow incline gravel road that twists beautifully through the woods, truly for the adventurous soul. It is graded monthly and kept in good condition year-round. During the spring, summer, and fall months all wheel or 4 wheel drive is recommended but not required. In the winter months, a vehicle with all-wheel or 4-wheel drive is required.
Hot Tub: The hot tub is professionally drained, cleaned, and refilled. As the cabin uses well water, some natural sediment may settle after cleaning. The temperature is lowered between stays to conserve energy and may need to be turned up upon your arrival. Please contact us within 24 hours of check-in with any concerns.
Wi-Fi: We offer highspeed Wi-Fi through Starlink.
Linens: For the top bunk, fresh linens may be neatly folded at the foot of the bed for your use.
Starter Pack: We provide a starter pack of essentials (e.g., toilet paper, paper towels). We do not restock these supplies during your stay.
Security: For your safety and security, one security camera is located outside the cabin, pointed towards the driveway.
TV & Firewood: For streaming services on the TV, please bring your own passwords (BYOP), as cable is not available. We provide complimentary firewood for the firepit.
Travelers Insurance: We recommend to all our guests to purchase traveler's insurance year-round. We do not refund for inclement weather.
Heating/AC: Please note that along with most of the cabins in Maggie, the cabin is equipped with manually-controlled baseboard heaters. It is the guest’s responsibility to keep children and pets away from these while in use because the surface will get hot. We also have window AC units that are manually controlled.
Trash/Wildlife: For our guests' safety and wildlife preservation, we do not keep trash receptacles outside of the cabin. If there is an extended stay, the guest will have to take their trash to the county waste site, just in town. Maggie Valley does not have regular trash service due to mountainous terrain and wildlife.
